Pines & Paddles is a 3,699 square feet home with an updated clean, classic cabin vibe with open style living spaces with two-story wall of windows focusing on the serenity of the lake. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a gaming loft/5th bedroom. All bedrooms are on the main level. A wide-open-floor plan with formal dining room, plus breakfast bar with cook-top island create a great atmosphere for large gatherings. Real rock double sided fireplace in the great room and primary bedroom. Spacious game room loft overlooking the great room, with sleeping spaces for 8. Authentic oak-wood flooring with in-floor natural-gas radiant heating system keeps your feet warm during those winter months. Please note the home will have a full décor revamp 12/20/25. All major amenities and sleeping arrangement will not change. We will not refund for furniture or décor change. Bedroom 1(Primary)- King bed, double sided gas fireplace (great room on other side) side tables, dresser, armoire, built in bookcase, ceiling fan, access to back deck, and primary bathroom. Closet is locked for owner’s personal items. Don’t worry you’re not missing much! Bedroom 2- King bed, side tables, closet, dresser, and ceiling fan. Direct access to Jack & Jill bathroom. Bedroom 3- Queen bed, nightstands, dresser, closet, and ceiling fan. Direct access to Jack & Jill bathroom. Bedroom 4- King bed, nightstands, dresser, closet, armchair, ceiling fan, and sliding door to the back yard. Loft bedroom/Game room (upstairs)- 3 twin beds, full/twin bunk bed, pull out sofa, and a mattress in the closet. Sleeps 8 in the loft. Pool table, life sized connect 4, smart tv, and electric dartboard. Wet bar with 2 bar height chairs. Please note there is no door. You do have access to one large sliding closet. We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, q tips, and floss picks. We do provide 1 hand towel and 2 wash-cloths per bathroom. 16 bath & 16 spa towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.) A minimum of 2 rolls of toilet paper is provided per bathroom. More may be left depending on number of guests and duration of stay. If you use large amounts of toilet paper, please bring extra. Pines & Paddles has two water heaters to ensure plenty of hot water for your group. Bathroom 1(Primary)- Dual vanity, deep standalone bathtub with shower handle. Tile shower. Bathroom 2(Jack N Jill) - Connected to Bedrooms 2 & 3. Single vanity & shower. Bathroom 3 (Main level hallway)- Dual vanity & tub/shower combo. Bathroom 4- King bed, nightstands, dresser, closet, armchair, ceiling fan, with direct access to the back yard. Kitchen- Open floorplan with visibility into dining and living area. Countertops seating for 4. Full-sized fridge with ice maker, gas stove, gas 4 burner stovetop, dishwasher, toaster oven, dual microwaves, and two sinks to help you create wonderful meals. If you prefer take-out no worries! Fully stocked with all utensils, dishware, cookware, and bakeware. A starter pack of paper towels and trash bags are provided. Along with dish soap, coffee grounds, and sugar. Coffee set up- 12 cup drip & Keurig Dining room- Located in view of kitchen with two story windows surrounded by towering pines. seating for 6 at dining table. Selection of games in hutch. Please note games are replaced periodically due to missing parts or damage. We cannot guarantee condition of games during your stay. Living room/Great room-Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay. Large sectional sofa, two armchairs, coffee table, side tables, smart tv, and dual sided fireplace. Sliding doors to the back deck. Fireplace- Dual sided wood burning fireplace located in great room/primary bedroom. We do not provide wood. It can be purchased and delivered to the home (24-hour notice is recommended). Or you can purchase it at many places in town. If there is wood left behind, feel free to use it! Laundry area- Full sized HE washer and dryer located just off the dining room & kitchen. We provide laundry pods. Property is half an acre of park like landscaping. We have a 3rd party landscaping company who maintain the outdoor spaces. Their schedule is revolving. We will always do our best to inform you prior! Front yard/deck- Large covered redwood deck with Adirondack chairs. Perfect for having your favorite beverage and enjoying the small wildlife. Large area for playing in the yard. The front gate can be latched to ensure children do not go to the road. Back yard/deck- Fully fences with white picket fencing. Large redwood decking with gas grill, dining table, patio furniture, log swing, and hot tub. Access to a small sandy area of the lake and dock. This home has visibility of the yearly firework show all without leaving the home! Please be aware it is loud as the barge from this location is quite close. Spa- located on the back deck, overlooking the bay has a 6-person occupancy. Maintained after each guest reservation. Please keep in mind as a rental the chemicals will be higher than a personal home spa. Longer stays, we will schedule the spa maintenance once a week. Spa hours are set for 7am-10pm only. This is a city rule for rentals. Towels for the spa are in the laundry room. Not for lake use. Outdoor fires are not permitted due to high risk fires. There is NO firepit/table on property. Dock- You have full use of the dock. We do not have water toys currently. Many local marinas will rent out hourly jet skis, pontoons, and kayaks. We do not guarantee lake levels. If you would like to bring your own boat, please check all lake rules at the Big Bear Municipal Water District website. Dock is seasonal and not guaranteed during spring and fall. Lake is typically closed for swimming mid-late October until beginning to mid May depending on ice and weather. Parking- Flat concrete parking for max 5 vehicles. You may need AWD of 4x4 in winter months. Chains are required to be carried in vehicle per CHP Oct-April. No garage access is given to guests. Heating- Central heating & wood burning fireplace. Air conditioning- Please note that most homes in Big Bear do NOT have air conditioning. This area does have many tall trees, is insulated well, along with being near the lake. It helps keep the home cool, but not cold. We have ceiling fans and standalone fans. Please open windows at night to let the cool night air cool the home. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs with a non-refundable pet fee of $200. No other types of animals allowed no exceptions. Additional fees may apply for excessive fur, damage, or not being picked up after. We are not responsible for the safety of your animal. Please have proper licensing and vaccine records on hand when traveling. For service animals, they must be stated prior to booking and proper documentation provided. We know your service animal is important and want to make sure nonservice animals are not posing as a working animal. We hope you choose to stay Pines & Paddles for your trip. Primary bedroom closet, entire garage, a couple cabinets in the laundry room, and main level hallway closet. Don’t worry, you aren’t missing much. A vehicle is ideal for getting around Big Bear. There are local services, but are not always reliable or available. There is free trolley that has several routes throughout the city. The closest pick up location is located .2 from the home in front of Lagunitas(blue trolley). For routes and more information, please visit their website at mountaintransit . org Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents, and remove weeds throughout the year. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees. City of Big Bear Lake Good Neighbor Policy must be always respected. Please review the city rules. Do not exceed the occupancy limit (16 guests regardless of age) Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. NO PARTIES ALLOWED. No parking in street or yard Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign. (5 vehicles) No amplified music 24/7 Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line. Head inside at 10:00 p.m. Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Take your furry friend with you. Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lakeis very dog-friendly! (This home is not pet/animal friendly) Take trash to dumpster locations Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations: 4190 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd. Consequences Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences. Fines The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation. Eviction Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the reservation holder. We are in the mountains. Wildlife may include but is not limited to bears, mountain lions, donkey, coyotes, and various other wildlife. City of Big Bear Lake requires their Good Neighbor Policy to be signed prior to gaining access to the home. The person booking the home MUST sign, no exceptions. Declining to sign will result in no access to the home, & cancellation of reservation with no refund. GNP can be found in our listing along with the break down of our agreement.
