This house has incredible potential and could truly be an amazing place to stay with some attention to detail. The location, and overall space are great, but unfortunately the condition of the home did not meet our expectations. While the home appears clean upon arrival, it quickly becomes obvious that it has not been given a proper deep cleaning in quite some time. There was dust throughout the house. The baseboards were noticeably dirty, and many of the kitchen cupboards! It seems as though only the most visible areas are cleaned between guests, while the details that make a home feel truly clean have been overlooked. The carpets on the main level are heavily stained and need replaced! The couch is also very worn and uncomfortable. There are also several maintenance issues that should be addressed. Multiple bathroom drains were clogged. The kitchen could benefit from a complete review of its contents. Items were old and damaged! Ants were also huge problem during our stay!
The home looked beautiful in the listing, and the upstairs primary bedroom and bathroom stayed cool and was very comfortable. However, after checking in, we found the property needed more attention than we expected. The downstairs bedrooms became quite warm, but our biggest concern was the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the home. My son found a previous guest's underwear in the upstairs loft, and the hot tub was dirty and slimy upon arrival. We also noticed several maintenance issues throughout the property that made it feel like routine upkeep had been overlooked. I'm not sure if the host is aware of these issues since the property is managed by a management company, but I would encourage them to speak with the management company about improving the cleanliness and maintenance standards—or consider a different management company if these problems continue. With better care and attention, this home has the potential to be a great place to stay.
