We decided to go away for our anniversary last minute, and we were happy to find a place close to the lake and the village on Big Bear at a low cost. With three bedrooms, it had plenty of space for our adult children to come stay with us for a night. The kitchen is petite, but has everything you need! The host was very accommodating, and we appreciated the communication letting us know when the place was ready, allowing us to check in early. For an inexpensive getaway, it worked well for us.

We spent 3 nights here and had a wonderful time. The home is pretty standard but well maintained for the area. We enjoyed the backyard deck and the back yard was great for my dog. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and found it well supplied and easy to use the space. Molly was super responsive and quickly remedied a hiccup with the smoke detector and provided clear and quick instructions on check out. Would definitely return.

Everything was perfect!

We had a lovely weekend at this cabin. It met all our needs. Just a heads up, there are stairs to get down to the cabin, but nothing difficult. Also, the two bedrooms upstairs have beds that are low to the ground. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be for others. But the beds were actually very comfortable, which is the most important thing. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the location was fantastic. There’s lots to do nearby and the neighborhood was very quiet. Communication with the host was easy as well.

We loved our stay here with our dogs! Everything was as it was described and was super clean! We wished one of the fences wasn’t damaged/broken as we’d like to have our dogs roam free but we had to keep them on the leash as they could’ve gotten out. Very quiet and private place!

I had a great time here and I felt like it was money well spent. The cabin had a nice cozy feel and the rooms/bed were very nice. I definitely appreciate the hosts’s communication with me, my messages were replied to promptly. Thank you for the stay!

Our stay here was all you can ask for! There was a hot tub and two fire places. Very close to the village and lake! Our host was helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had and made sure we had a great time! 10/10

Loved the stay and the cooperation during a big snowfall!

The place was comfortable and clean. Great location to all that Big Bear has to offer. It has all of your basic necessities to have a nice weekend stay. The only issue we had was the couch was a bit small and uncomfortable.

Amazing location and the snow was perfect. The kids loved playing in the backyard and the jacuzzi was perfect after a long day of fun! Very clean and spacious house and 3 bedrooms! Great for bigger families! Highly recommended!!

Very cute, cosy, warm cabin. The fire is lovely and lots of extra blankets for the beds. Comfy beds as well. Only complaint really was the couch. Only one part of the lazy boy works, and the other two parts/seats on the couch have springs sticking up. So one person is amazingly comfy while the others are not. Plus only couch seating for 3, not the 5 capacity of the cabin. Kitchen pans also worn which is a worry with non-stick. We needed to change the batteries in the downstairs carbon monoxide alarm as it was beeping - great stash of spares provided and very quick support on the airbnb chat. However we also then discovered the upstairs one had no batteries in it at all. It is a lovely cabin but could use some tlc.

This place was really wonderful! Peaceful, quiet, clean and well organized. We have nothing but good things to say. And the host was great, very communicative, respectful and ready to solve any question. Definitely we’d love to stay there again any time in the future.

My partner, another couple, and I visited Molly’s cabin for New Year's. Then comments regarding regulating the temperature in this place are accurate. Additionally, I informed the host that the shower had low water pressure and even included a picture of the shower faucet. I was told they would notify their handyman, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue during our stay. We brought dogs, and the house rules stated that excessive hair would result in a charge. However, when we looked around for a broom and dustpan to clean up after ourselves, the closest thing we could use was the small broom and dustpan near the woodburning stove, typically used to pick up little bits of burnt wood. We felt uneasy about possibly being charged. I also felt it would have been useful to have a guidebook as I’ve seen in other Airbnb’s, with all the rules included, since it was our friend’s first time. Be advised there is strict 10am checkout time; if you’re not out you can get charged.

This spot was perfect and close to everything. The highlight was the walks we did down to the lake with our dog. We had friends with us and it’s their first time visiting Big Bear Lake and we all had fun. Will consider this spot again in the future!

The place looked exactly like the photos, we had a short walk to a market some restaurants and the lake. The property was very neat and clean with overall very pleased with the experience would definitely book this property again for future trips to big bear.

The cabin is exactly how she described. The backyard was so peaceful. she had all the amenities. It was pretty much like being at your own home.

Great location & overall experience was great. Checkin went smooth and tips on backing into the driveway helped. We planned to cook during our stay but were disappointed when the dishes were dirty. A glass frame had fallen and had to reach out to host for a broom, while host responded quickly. Host was great, very responsive and helpful.

Overall pretty good, glad to know that VRBO is genuine, sadly didn't get to use the Jacuzzi or grill because of a snow store that came in. Also locals were lovely 💕

We had a great time at this Big Bear Airbnb! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had. The place was clean and cozy, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the area. Our only minor issue was with the hot tub, which was set to 83 degrees upon arrival and proved a bit challenging to adjust to a hotter temperature. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the host's attentiveness. Overall, a wonderful experience in a beautiful location!

Absolutely loved this cabin! It was perfect for our trip and would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are very cold and the heater doesn’t quite reach the rooms and we tried to find extra blankets but we did not find any. The listing said there were games in the middle cabinet but they are old and missing pieces. Rooms have no closets so there isn’t a place you can hang your clothing or put away luggage. The place is decent but it should be cheaper. There is long list of rules that were some what absurd especially when having an infant, and you pretty much have to clean up everything yourself even after paying a cleaning fee. There is no dishwasher so you will be washing ur dishes manually.

The place was very clean and they had everything you could need to cook. I like that they had the hot tub ready with out asking and a lot of extra towels. They also answer any question you may have very quick. At first I wasn’t happy that the place doesn’t look like the pictures, but all the little details adds up to a good experience at the end. I would love to come back.

Cute cabin, we enjoyed our stay!

It’s a beautiful home great scenery a short walk to the lake but I wish it would be more detailed clean. Some of the bedsheets were brown. The dishes where dusty and not cleaned properly. And we found a clump of hair in the Jacuzzi.

It was very relaxing and the house was very cozy. My family and I enjoyed ourselves.

This cute little cabin was a nice accommodation for 5 of us and our doggy for a short escape into nature. We really enjoyed the fire burning stove, large kitchen table, BBQ and jacuzzi.

Fun stay - location was great at and close to everything. Home was comfortable and worked well for our family. Kids loved the hot tub and walking in the neighborhood.

We had a great stay at Molly Mei‘s cabin! It was clean and cozy and we were easily able to extend our stay.

This was exactly the get away from the city we needed! A short drive to the super cute village 5 min away and 3 min away from The hot tub is now a must in any vacation I take, super relaxing to hop in after a long day of exploring/kayaking. Molly is the sweetest! Also for anyone that works from home the WiFi is great! I was able to work with no glitches! 10/10 would recommend!

GREAT location. Close to the village and hiking spots. It was really great to be able to bring our doggo and we were very comfortable. Plenty of towels and soap. Only note is the kitchen wasn’t too well stocked, pretty much only salt and pepper but that was totally okay with us because we brought everything we needed but if you need ketchup for your burgers, definitely bring it! Host was very communicative and although you have to check in at another location, it was really close by and very quick. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was really nice and clean. It had all the amenities needed. Only concern was the shower head. There was very little water coming out most was coming out of bottom faucet.

This cabin was overall okay. We had some difficulties. For instance the listing said air conditioning (which is why we chose this location). They did have one ac unit upstairs, but it wasn’t capable of cooling the cabin. Would be fine for winter season but for summer it was pretty uncomfortable. Next the location does say pet friendly with a fully fenced yard, and the yard was a decent size for our two dogs. However their “fully fenced yard” was a two foot tall fence that’s broken. Might be okay for small dogs but our larger dogs were easily wanting to jump over. Also another thing to be aware of there were ants all over the kitchen counters. I do want to say this cabin was just okay. If this listing was cheaper and priced (in my opinion) more accurate then we would have no complaints. However, for what we paid for and what the listing described, the place was not worth it.

This cabin is close to everything! Jacuzzi was awesome. Grill came in handy. Would book again maybe in the winter not the hot summer.

I enjoyed our stay at Molly’s place. The logistics/process were clear, and check-in was easy. The location of the place was convenient to everything Big Bear. I would recommend a stay at her place, especially if the goal is to get out and about most of the day. I don’t recommend her place if you have people with mobility issues, as the house sits down from the street and you have to walk down a bunch of steps, which are not lit at night (a motion light does come on by the front door after you reach the bottom) Also, parking is a bit tricky as it’s narrow and angled down. Finally, there is not much of a backyard that you would want to stay in - it’s mostly mud with weeds. And the neighbors keep junk in their backyard (which Molly cannot control), which makes it unsightly. That being said, if you have a dog it’s enclosed via a fence, which is super helpful. Interior was nice. In the end, knowing what I described above I would stay again, but it may not be for everyone.

The place was just as advertised. Molly and her team were quick to reply and address the few issues we had. The only issue we had was trying to keep the place cool. We wound up sleeping in one of the upstairs bedrooms, but the small ac unit wasn't strong enough to keep the rooms cool during the day. Once the sun went down and it cooled off enough, we were able to open the windows, which helped. It certainly wasn't a deal breaker, just something to consider. There were plenty of fans and they did help out. Overall, we were happy with the cabin and would consider staying there again on future visits.

Everything we needed! Booked a last minute weekend gateway for my birthday with family and our two dogs. The home had everything we needed and more. Sufficient towels, cooking supplies, equipped with a grill, and relaxing jacuzzi. We spent the evening on the deck watching the sunset while grilling. Located so close to the village and within a short walk of the lake. The beds were extremely comfortable. The dogs enjoyed roaming the back yard area while we enjoyed the hot tub. The baby gate in the home also came in handy to keep dogs in one room. Looking forward to a future stay.

Very cute small get away! The kitchen was very stocked with kitchenwares for us to be able to cook compared to other places we’ve been to before. Only negative was the upstairs rooms got very and the ac wasn’t cooling them down, the fans provided did not work well, so if possible bring your own fans. We brought one but wish we brought more! Such a wonderful cabin! Extremely friendly and responsive! Made a mistake on my booking but was able to resolve it so quickly and easily!

Unfortunately we found the listing photos to be quite deceiving. A variety of factors made our experience unenjoyable and decided to leave a night early. First, we were welcomed by a dirty, unkept entrance with a a pile of cinder blocks, a dirty bucket, and some trash. The biggest deal for us, though, was that the hot tub is right next to the neighbor's yard which is completely trashed, full of junk and fully visible from the tub through the chainlink fence. Hot tub was main reason to book this place, so we were very disappointed. I get that the host can't control the neighbor's yard, but they could make an attempt to cover it a bit to improve guest experience. Smaller things: The downstairs bed has the most uncomfortable and loud mattress I've ever slept on and it's tilted, so we had to sleep the other way. Unlike in the photos, the cabin is actually quite dark, feels unwelcoming, and had a bit of a smell. More effort could make this cabin work, but currently not worth the pric

Dog friendly! close to lake. tucked away but just a walk from the water. also has a convenience store within walking distance with fire wood and food/beverage options. short drive from the village with a lot of restaurants and ice cream options. great offorad trails within 15 minutes to offroad your truck. we caught 6 trout at green valley lake just down the hill. also close to a paved cycling trail with shops that offer bicycle rental. also has a great offroad mountain bike trail close by. this home is also right by Boulder cove park which is a great place to have a picnic or go fishing.

Great place to stay it’s really central to all the activities in big bear

Great cabin with great amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin and relaxing in the hot tub or sledding in the yard with all the snow. It is a really great location that had alot of trees and therefore more snow then other houses. Molly and Savvy Bears management were great in communicating with a few questions and issues we came across, and highly recommend for a great relaxing stay!

Very satisfying

Overall, we had a nice stay in big bear. The cabin is cozy and the proximity to shops, restaurants, and ski resorts is great. We had a storm during our stay with about 6 inches of fresh snow, which was absolutely beautiful and fun on the slopes. We rested and played. That said there were a few things that could have made our stay better. - Basics stocked. We were missing salt, propane, stove lighters, and silverware (there were only 2 forks). - A clean hot tub. We brought it to Molly’s attention and she had someone out within 24 hrs. But the guy was there for 5 minutes and didn’t really address the problem. A little extra work by the companies that are managing this property would have gone a long way!

Everything was great! The only negative I have about the house is the parking — which is no fault of the owner. We just barely fit two cars and it took a lot of maneuvering and shoveling to make it work. Very responsive owner, easy check in and out, and has everything you could need!

Great affordable place to stay, overall satisfied. Drive way is very narrow and steep, which can be difficult to get out of during winter months so do underestimate that. I had a 4x4 and chains and still struggled to get out.

Molly Mei's home-away-from-home getaway was the perfect place for my family to stay during our ski vacation getaway! The house warmed up nicely when we returned from slopes. The open-floor concept was conducive to family bonding while cooking dinner and kids relaxing on the couch. The jacuzzi was a hot retreat to relax in after dinner was through. Check-in and check-out directions were clear and straight-forward. The staff at check-in was friendly, quick, and helpful. When the storm hit, communication came quickly on what to beware of and how to proceed should the storm take out power. I loved this location even more for being dog-friendly. I would highly recommend staying at Molly Mei's AirBnB!

The house is nice, had all the amenities it promised, but the heating system is inadequate, and made the downstairs bedroom very cold, and the house in general pretty cold except upstairs. Even with the heat on all night, the house was 8-10 degrees colder when we woke up. Besides the heating system though, the stay was great.

All around was an amazing experience!!

The house was in a good location and made commuting around Big Bear City easy. Place looked a bit smaller compared to the pictures listed and the first night was very, very cold. Second night was warmer upstairs, but my friends in the downstairs room said they hardly felt the heater both nights. If you’re going to rent in the winter, the driveway is very icy and sloped, which should be mentioned more in the listing. The night we got there we spent about 1-2 hours trying to park and keep the car from slipping further. The next morning our car took another 1-2 hours to get out of the driveway. Molly and the numbers she gave to help weren’t very useful as you had to pay for help to clear out the ice. The shovel at the house wasn’t good to pick at the ice and the salt bucket was frozen. We had people across the street to help us get our car out. We also didn’t have snow chains on since no one else in the area had them on so we ONLY had to put them on just to get in and out of the driveway.

Went on a weekend snowboarding trip with friends and Molly Mei's place was great. It was super cozy and close to everything we needed. My group spent most of the day out but after a day of snowboarding, it was great to come home to a warm, cozy house. I had my 2 dogs with me as well. Just FYI the gate is about 3 feet high so if your dog is a jumper, that could be an issue. My boys had a great time running around in the snow. It was snowing the weekend we were there and Molly gave us a heads up for some snow tips so we dont get snowed in which was really helpful. Overall amazing experience and would definitely book again!

Nice location for walking, even to the Village if you feel a little ambitious. Fireplace really makes the space pleasant for a winter holiday. Kitchen is small but very clean, and everything worked well. We appreciated the immaculate bath and user-friendly TV. The place seemed recently remodeled or redecorated, a nice cabin vibe.

This Air B n B was everything that me and my family was looking for. Walking distance to market / lake, this location is superb. The home was very cozy especially with the heater / fire place. The backyard had plenty of space for my dog Remy as well! Easy parking on the driveway, overall a great experience!

Super cute, clean and lovely place! The place was bigger then we thought and had everything we needed. Our only hiccup was the jacuzzi wasn’t very warm. Host was helpful in trying to troubleshoot it, but it didn’t work. Other then that though, super easy and comfortable place.

Great view but very tricky drive way but loved the place

This Vista Cottage was the perfect place for a birthday getaway. I contacted Molly Mei while my friend and I were looking for cabins and she was incredibly helpful. She provided us with lots of options, but we ultimately went with Vista Cottage as it was the best fit for our needs. She also told me about Oktoberfest and it gave us something exciting to look forward to. The cabin is in a perfect location. It's just a short walk (5min for us slow walkers) from the main road where you can find a market, restaurant, and bakery. There was also a bus stop in front of the market where we were able to catch a bus to Oktoberfest and the Village. I appreciated that there was a private driveway. It is curved and on an incline, so take that into account when you pull in or visit during the snowy seasons. The cabin is low on the hill, so it looks a bit hidden which I appreciated as it felt more private. The stairs from the driveway lead down to the door of the cabin. It is fairly short, but it may not be accessible for someone who has difficulty with mobility. The inside is so cute! It has a typical cabin vibe with plaid and wood accents, but it has a modern touch and lots of natural light. The couch is a three part recliner and it is super comfortable. It's built for 3 people but you could fit more if you don't mind getting cuddly. The dining table seats 6. The kitchen is small, but it's fully stocked with everything you could need (except a dishwasher). There is also a fire place. Just remember to bring your own wood. The bathroom is downstairs and there are three bedrooms. I think the downstairs bedroom had a full/queen sized bed. One of the rooms upstairs had a king sized bed while the other had two fulls. The two bed room had a closet and the king room had a storage space with extra blankets. All of the rooms had nightstands and dressers, heaters and fans. They also had windows with nice views. Also, all of the windows in the home had coverings. I have to note that since a few Air Bnbs I've stayed in did not have any curtains.... The back yard was nice. We did not explore much of it, but I managed to get some hot tub time which was lovely. There were porch lights, a grill, and a fire pit. They had a few chairs out, but a couple of them were not usable during our stay. Right away, we noticed that there were two fruit trees in the yard. I believe they were pear and apple. We didn't pick any as we weren't sure if we were able to but the birds seemed to love them. The yard looks like a nice place for dogs if you bring any along. There were very strong winds on one day of our stay. This caused a power outage that lasted about 5 hrs. Luckily, it was during daylight hours and we were able to make the most of it. Molly Mei and her team were very informative which helped ease our concerns. Overall, I would totally recommend this cabin and I look forward to booking a future stay.

Overall we had a good experience! However, there were a few difficulties with amenities (hot tub took a very long time to heat up, etc.) but it was in a great location and was very nice!

Host was great, place was clean and accurate. It’s just an old cabin that shows it’s age. Didn’t love having to pack out our trash to a dumpster a few minutes drive away but all in all a good stay.

Easy check in and out. Facility was clean, and offered all the amenities we sought. The bedrooms were spacious. Great location next to most attractions in BB. Location was quiet and peaceful.

Booked this last minute and it was a great stay, loved that I was able to have my dogs utilize the fenced in backyard. The fence is a little short so if you have jumpers be aware of that. the rooms were cozy and provided that “cabin feel”

Our stay here was excellent. We had an emergency prior to arriving, and Molly's staff, Seth, went above and beyond, making the check-in process easy, quick and painless, despite a late arrival. The home was clean and provided sufficient blankets, towels, pots, pans, etc. The hot tub was an added PLUS!! Great stay! We will return...

Great location! Only a 6 minute walk to the lake. Very close to stores and restaurants. Check in was a breeze. Host was very responsive and easy to contact. My only concern was they advertised a 3ft fence in the backyard but at some points It was as low as 1.5 feet, (probably just because it settled) but I have big dogs so if they wanted they could hopover. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway.

this place is decent, but older & it shows. the outside wasn't cleaned up (dirt around seats in hot tub, cigarette butts on porch & some trash in yard). huge ant issue for pup's food indoors, but you're in the woods, so... not sure overall if it's worth the price.

The pictures for this cabin are misleading in terms of quality. I was looking forward to a great stay at this cabin but ended up having to cut my reservation short and find other accommodations. I experienced a severe allergy on my face and neck from the pet dander left around (my dog is hypoallergenic) and the fact that the cabin is not a modern up to date living space. While the cabin is quaint and cozy, it definitely needs some work. Musty smell, dingy carpets and furniture; a little claustrophobic honestly, the pics make the rooms seem larger than they are. The living room couch is old, and the pillows on it were visibly worn. The kitchen has basic appliances, but nothing to write home about. I looked for a popcorn bowl to eat microwave popcorn in that I had brought with me and had to use a colander instead. And you have to sign into your own streaming accounts to watch anything on their roku tv, this was new to me as far as airbnbs and hotels go. The jacuzzi did not have enough water in it, the water level was just above the jets, so my friend and I were sitting with most of our chests exposed to the night air and the jacuzzi was NOT HOT, it got up to 94 degrees. Thankfully Molly understood the severity of my allergy and refunded part of our reservation so we could be free to find other accommodations. We appreciated her swift communication.

This was such a great stay! It’s so close to the lake and town which was great for our trip. The hosts were amazing and responded quickly when I had a question. I would definitely come back the next time I visit Big Bear!

Very nice cabin, plenty of space with having the 3 different bed rooms and a great sized living area. The gated back yard was perfect for taking our small dog out back. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Will definitely try to come back again.

This is going to be my go-to retreat for Big Bear. This lovely cabin is fully loaded with all the amenities as well as kitchen utensils. The cabin itself was very spacious, clean and well located to town. I can’t forget to mention how comfortable the beds were. My fave was the hot tub. I also appreciated the host’s quick responses as I had a few questions. Will def be back soon.

This home is in a great location, walking distance from the lake. Very close to skiing and snowboarding. I would definitely stay here again. It had everything that we needed.

This place is owned and operated by a rental company in Big Bear. Like another review said, there was a strong urine smell, most likely from previous animals who had stayed. It mostly went away with a few hours of open windows, but was still very discerning as a first impression. The place has clearly had some recent work done, but seems to primarily be cosmetic. Outside the front is still some unused cinder blocks, and a freshly installed window that has yet to be painted as of early April 2022. The carpet is definitely in need of replacing, and is likely the source of the urine smell. Compared to other places I've stayed, this place is sparsely decorated, and is clearly a pure rental location money generator, and not a family vacation home rented out. The parking spot looks newly poured (Good!) but can be scary to pull into. The tub faucet diverter was not working well, and would not turn off to send water to the shower head. The tub drain also backed up badly. I've send all of this information to the rental agency, so hopefully they will deal with them and future patrons will actually feel clean after a shower.

Cute and cozy little place. Everything was accurate as described and Molly Mei was very responsive and eager to help. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We came April 2022 just for the Polar Plunge that weekend. The only issue we ran in to was noticing that the hot tub water was murky. The posted instructions say to notify them if the water is murky and we did that maybe 5-10 mins after checking into the house. The spa team was supposed to come the next morning but didn’t show until about 4:30pm. The water was 60F when the spa team left and the water heats 5 degrees per hour. Its supposed to reach 104F when ready for use during cold months. By 9:30p, the water was only approx 75F and was too cold to use. We were looking forward to using the hot tub but never got the chance to given the unfortunate circumstance. We left the next morning. I don’t blame the home owners at all. I know that it had to do with the spa team’s schedule. But if your stay is short like ours, know that this is a possibility. I appreciate that they were on it and willing to even have the water treated as quickly as possible. There was lots of hot water in the shower (I’m talking scalding if you like it that hot) to make up for it. We’ve stayed in other homes around Big Bear that either ran out of hot water too quickly or didn’t have water hotter than slightly above room temp. With the one shower in this home, there was enough hot water for 5 people without having to rush. We intend to keep coming back for the Polar Plunge and would definitely stay here again.

Very cozy home! The heater keeps up just fine in the cold temperatures, and the house is packed with warm blankets and the smart tv in the living room is great for watching movies. Would definitely recommend this stay for others!

Everything was just perfect!! Molly was awesome with communication and we loved the location and the cabin!! There is a brewery within walking distance and a local store and a Mexican food place. I can’t say enough about Molly’s customer service, it made all the difference!! The Pups loved the cabin too!! Thank you Molly!!

Cute cabin! Family and I loved it here. Was warm and loved having a hot tub. The only thing that sucks is having to take out your own trash to the dump but that was city rules.

We had a great time here, the house is super close to the village, the backyard had plenty of room for our pup to get his energy out, and the hot tub was perfect. Molly even left us a bottle of wine and some snacks, and had a handyman drop off something before we noticed it was missing. The communication and hospitality was top notch, and we’d love to stay here again. Thank you Molly!

My expectations for this rental were not super high given how close we booked to our trip date and the number of available places. However, below are a few critical pieces of information I wish I had prior to our stay on this property. For reference, our stay was in winter when the night temps were around 38-40 dgs. I have camped outside in the snow and been considerably warmer than I was in this house at night. If I had known, I would have brought a sleeping bag and been fine with it. Fortunately, two guests were joining the second day and were able to bring many thick blankets. If that had not been the case, I would have searched for blankets in the area to buy or vacated the property and stayed elsewhere. It was THAT cold. The house has three specific microclimates. The downstairs bedroom is very cold. It is adjacent to the back door which is not sealed and lets in a constant freezing draft which is worsened if/when you have to open it to allow your pup out in the early hours of the morning. Same hold true for the one full bath in the same location of the house. The second climate is in the living area, which is equipped with a fireplace and wall heater. This area of the house is hot. It took some time for the heater to kick off when the correct temp was reached, during which time we were uncomfortably hot. But alas someone will inevitably open that back door and the living area will lose 15-20 degrees of heat instantly. Very difficult to maintain a reasonably consistent temp in this room. The third climate is upstairs and was absolutely freezing. I slept in two pairs of socks, fleece pants, a base layer, sweater, and sweatshirt with the hood up and closed, and don't think I ever actually went to sleep that first night before the additional bedding arrived. All of the beds were dressed with a single bedsheet and a thin quilt, which would have been lovely in summer or late fall. The bedding provided no weight or insulation for any of our guests. The listing states, " ... extra blankets are provided in the closet between the bedrooms." And a recent reviewer noted "....extra blankets for when it gets cool ... " Not sure what happened here. I did find one thin, fleece blanket in the second upstairs bedroom but nothing else in any part of the house. So cold, friends. So cold. There are portable heaters scattered about the house. One of them sounds like a broken, rattling truck and was unusable. The one that was in the downstairs bedroom turned on and oscillated, but did not produce any heat. There were two small, desktop heaters in two of the rooms which were able to cut the frigidity by a couple of degrees after they had been on for a few hours. However, the electrical system would not allow us to run both simultaneously. It was an adventure. I cannot explain how unprepared I was for all of this. I had two teenagers, another adult, and a four-year-old with me on the trip. No one was even remotely comfortable in their room. No one showered because no one wanted to risk being wet AND that cold. No one used the hot tub for the same reason. So cold, friends. So cold. My other comment would be regarding the general cleanliness of the house. It was 'surface clean' at its very best. There was no dish soap. There was hand soap at the kitchen sink, and based on the layer of film on many of the dishes and pots, I would imagine that is what other guests have been using to clean. The dishrack you are asked to place your clean dishes on to dry is also filthy and is stored in an equally filthy area under the sink. We bought some dish soap and cleaned everything that we used before and afterward. Hand soap is not food safe. I'd use it in an emergency but that's it. This trip more closely resembled low-budget glamping. Even so, I've stayed in cleaner, more accomodating yurts. If I could request a partial refund for the first night due to everyone's extreme discomfort, I would. If you are going to book, bring your own basic necessities and don't rely on the listing, especially in the winter months. Our stay cost us just under $500 per 24 hour period we were on the property. We were pretty disappointed with the experience relative to the total cost, to be polite.

This place was amazing. Exactly what you read in the description. The rooms were big and spacious. The jacuzzi WORKED and was in the private backyard so no sharing with anyone else. The cabin has a cozy vibe with an older school fireplace that was awesome. The heater worked and they even had other mini heaters you could move around the place if you needed some extra warmth in certain spots. The drive way was long and fit our two cars easy. Overall great spot. They had plenty of silverware and cooking pans so we were able to cook the food we brought. I will definitely be staying here again.

Molly's house was great. Everything described in the listing accurately. The only thing I'd say is (and she listed it in the property description so no negative review points at all) is make sure you are prepared for the lack of heat/AC in the bedrooms. We stayed in October and the nights got SUPER cold. There is heat on the main floor and in the staircase between the 2nd floor rooms but it doesn't really warm the house -- ditto with cooling. Make sure you make proper preparations for your stay. Molly did provide a thick fleece blanket which was great for the night time. We didn't spend much time in the house during the day, but i'd imagine it would get quite hot in the summer months. All in all, a very nice and cozy cabin to stay in. Propane grill and jacuzzi were definitely huge plusses. I would definitely book again.

This was perfectly situated near Village and Lake, house was very clean and comfortable, only one bathroom downstairs as well as one closet upstairs but there were plenty of dressers with drawers, didn’t like that you’re so overlooked you have to keep the drapes closed but I think that’s pretty much all of BBL properties unless you pay a pretty penny, we enjoyed our stay here and were thrilled we could take our dogs! Very quant little place and exactly as listed

This place was an amazing spot for a weekend get away for my friends and I. The check in was easy, the owners are understanding, and it would be a wonderful place to bring a pet! The only reasons I’m not giving this 5 stars is being the one bathroom does not suit 3+ people well, much less 5 (which is what I had), as well as it is a bit out of date, but that is to be expected in Big Bear, from my experience at least.

This stay is in a great location. It’s a five minute walk to the lake and does have a corner store in walking distance! The jacuzzi was great at night and the grill on the deck was perfect! The deck is very nice and we spent a lot of time there. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and everything was clean. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a hint bed that fit two people and a dog perfectly! The fenced in backyard let us let our dogs play while we were cooking or in the jacuzzi! Great communication! She responded to any of my messages within a couple mins! Thank you!

Definitely stand-out super great customer service from Seth! My family felt safe in this cabin and would stay again although there were some highs & lows. Pros: The beds linen and spare blankets were clean and comfortable, the roku tv was setup and ready to go, the location was close to everything, there were ample towels and toiletries for the week, black out curtains, decent neighborhood. Cons: The inside layout of the cabin is nice but to enter you must use steep stairs which can be a hassle with luggage. The stairs could stand to be swept and porch light replaced to make it more safe. Only one burner from the stove worked so cooking for a family was difficult not to mention being able to cook is one main reason to choose and air bnb vs a hotel. You are guaranteed to stub your toe on the king bed frame upstairs (age 4 to 42 and we all did it lol) and the indoor stairs are steep so watch your step. There were weathered particles of trash around the back and front yard, which others might not notice, but I did as I didn't want to be held responsible for! I found only trash in the bathroom. The backyard is not private enough to be nude. The a/c was located in a spot that only cooled that spot but it's a nice touch to have in a cabin. Overall the cabin did the job. 3 out of 5 stars!

We had a great time at Molly’s stay! Location was super close to the village and we hardly got any traffic. Super convenient having a gated back yard for our doggy:) Lots of rooms but living area is a bit snug if you’re planing on having more than 3 guest.

This is our second time booking with Molly Mei and first time at this location. We loved our stay, the cabin is even cuter in person and while the ac is a small unit it did a great job keeping the upstairs cool during July. This location is close to the lake and the village so it made it very easy to get everywhere we needed to be quickly. Molly Mei is a great host and we look forward to another stay in the future.

We loved this place! It was near The Village, so it was easy to get around. This house was also very cozy so it was a great place to come back, rest. and just hang out after a day of adventuring. I definitely appreciated how dog-friendly the space was, especially the backyard.

My SO and two friends stayed here for 2 nights and boy did we enjoy it. it was an easy process checking in and Molly reached out days before check-in to make sure that we had all the information that we needed. upon entering you'll definitely notice how pet friendly this stay is and it was perfect for our 5month and 1 year old shiba buddies! Molly and Seth remained contactable throughout the trip and were quick to respond to our messages as well. Definitely would recommend this to anyone travelling with a pet and know that I'll definitely be back during the winter haha!

This was such a great cabin for our stay in Big Bear! It's so close to the village, with all the restaurants and shops (we drove just because it's so hilly). It's a short walk to the lake shore as well. All communications were so clear and we had an easy check-in and departure. Highly recommend staying with Molly!

This place was such a great escape for me and my fiancé! We spent time in the hot tub, eating local, resting by the fire, and doing the nearby escape rooms! We would definitely invite others with us to this spacious cabin.

Great stay. Excellent value. Definitely a little cabin for a larger group with limited seating in the living room for the evenings. We loved playing games around the big table. So convenient location wise. We brought our pup who loved the fenced in backyard. The grill and hottub was the perfect way to end our Saturday night. Would definitely stay again!

Great value for the price. Cute little cabin, close to town. Definitely better in person then pictures. Hot tub is around 99-100, so doesn’t really feel that warm when it’s cold out. We went at the end of the season too. Also just enough warm water to give our one child a bath. We ended up skipping showering because it was too cold. The fence is down in some areas, just too know, if you have a dog that won’t stay close. Overall a cute stay for a weekend trip.

This was a very much needed vacation for my children and I. We had the best time here at this cabin. My kids loved it. It felt like home away from home! I got "your the best mom" quite a few times for this vacation and we will definitely be renting a cabin from Molly Mei again

The location is perfect. Everything was minutes away. The downside the cabin was freezing bring lots of extra blankets. The heater did not work well and when the space heaters, that were provided in the cabin, were turned on the power would turn off. My husband had to flip the breaker 3 times in the middle of the night before we just gave up and turned the heaters off. The dining table chairs are extremely loose and definitely need to be tightened. The back door doesn’t lock correctly only the handle locks and there is no insulation around the door making all the cold air come in. Overall the trip was great definitely wish I had more blankets but we managed.

Wonderful and quaint cabin, SO close to Bear Mtn/ Snow Summit and great lanes to walk dogs. Loved our stay, really made us feel in a cozy cabin.

This place is such a cute little nook, and has really comfy bedding. The fence is a little bent down in the yard so if you have a dog that isn’t trained well to stay with you, I wouldn’t recommend putting them in the yard unattended. Jacuzzi was nice although we couldn’t figure out to get it hotter than 100 degrees. Other than that, the owners were very communicative and generous, I would definitely stay here again!

Cute little cottage close to all the good stuff. It was really nice being able to take a short 5 minute drive into the Big Bear Village. This location is a nice value getaway to the mountains. Both of the hosts Seth and Molly were timely with communication. We would stay again in the future. Extremely wonderful that they are a pet friendly location. My puppy loved the snow and enjoyed the backyard area for play. The kitchen area is excellent for a small family or a couple, it is not large enough to prepare a meal for more than that. Great experience !

This place is way overpriced for what you get. This is definitely taking rustic to the next level. The kitchen is poorly stocked (one wine glass, cheap wine opener, chipped plates, plastic cups) and greasy, dented , rusty pots and pans. The whole place needs a deep deep clean. It's advertised with the 'enhanced clean' for Covid times but it certainly didn't feel like that. It just all feels tired and depressing.The carpet is dingy and shot, the bedding is flimsy (we were all freezing) and the towels have bleached stains. I'd say you are better off at a hotel for this price. WAY overpriced for what you get. The things working for it is the hot tub (which appeared to be pretty new) and the location is close to town/Big Bear resort.

If you’re looking for a cozy cabin to get away from LA, this is IT! Loved how easy it was to get to, 5 min away from downtown Big Bear and the lake. Very romantic fireplace and hot tub - great for couples. Kitchen is pretty well equipped (bring your own wine opener though lol)! Great stay, makes me want to get my own cabin.

Cute little older cabin. Kitchen was fully stocked and the cabin is perfect for a small family and fur kids. The fenced in back yard made it nice for the dogs to go to the bathroom without a leash. The cabin was clean and we had great communication with the owner. Gets a little cold at night in the downstairs bedroom, bring extra blankets, a space heater and leaving the door open helps. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place for a couple or family. Stylish without losing that cozy cabin feel. Close to the center of town or to the lake. Exactly what I wanted from a trip to big bear.

Mollie is nice and has quick responses - however if you plan on renting during the winter/snow be prepared to stay there. Plan on bringing food and water in case you cannot get out of the driveway (which is downhill so makes getting out in the snow harder). No shovels, salt, or any snow equipment made available - had to ask neighbors for help for either shovels or to get help pusing the car out of the driveway. (Problem avoided if you own a 4x4 I'm sure). Mollie does have some contacts to use in case you do need help which was what we needed to do and he was super nice and helpful on getting us unstuck and out. The place itself is a gorgeous, cozy little space. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, comfortable furniture, kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need for cooking! The best part was the hot tub! Id love to visit and spend more time there - just not in the winter months.

This place was exactly what we needed. A quick getaway with our pup. We were able to take him for walks to the lake and come back and relax in the hot tub. The yard is completely fenced in so we were able to let him roam around and explore. Great location. We would definitely come back. We also loved to use the fireplace for a cozy night.

Molly Mei’s place was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed the balcony and of course the hot tub. The best part was that we got to bring our pup. He had the best weekend running all over the backyard and lying underneath the Apple tree.

Great place

Molly’s place was just what we expected! So cozy and such a great location. It was a close distance to the lake and town, but still quiet. The house was just the perfect space for myself and a few friends to have a nice weekend getaway. The view from the patio is beautiful and great to hang out. It also had a BBQ to make some great dinners. Molly and Seth were very quick to respond if we needed anything and easy check in. We look forward to coming back.

This cabin is as described in the listing. It was neat and clean, the kitchen was well-appointed and there was plenty of room for the five of us to relax. We really enjoyed the back deck and our small dogs were very happy to have a fenced backyard. (The fence is short so if you bring a large dog, they might be able to jump over it). It was a hot weekend, so we appreciated the fan in each bedroom. The location is in a small neighborhood with only a short drive to shopping and dining or lake activities.

We enjoyed the stay at Molly’s cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with all necessary amenities for family of four. It’s a good location in close proximity to the village area. We have walked from cabin to the village several times instead of driving. It met our expectations and we will be happy to come back on our next trip to Big Bear Lake.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the cabin. Not only did we enjoy it, but the dogs loved it as well. Perfect location! Quick drive to the marina, and just a little further to the trails (and skiing in winter), at Snow Summit. Day of check in the host was awesome enough to let us check in a whole 4 hours early, so we could get on the road a lot sooner than planned. Host was always quick to respond to questions or concerns we had on the visit (ceiling fan in living room was not functioning, but the host was already aware and working on replacing it). All this place is missing is a hot tub, but it looks like one will be installed very soon. Beds throughout the house were extremely comfortable (trust me I know, I tested each and every one out.). Upstairs bedrooms got really hot during the day, but cooled down quickly at night. And fortunately the host provided fans in all rooms. All in all, 10 ourt of 10 from me, and I hope to come visit again soon.

This is a cute stand alone cottage. It has a very rustic feel to it, and is pretty bare bones as far as amenities. Gets pretty hot inside during the day (in summer) but cools down at night. The back porch looks out on other houses and some trees (not a lake view) and it has a private fenced yard. My only complaint is about the level of cleanliness -- definitely not deep cleaned in a while, which you'd hope would be standard during a pandemic (cobwebs, ants everywhere). The neighborhood is pretty dense with houses but it is very quiet at night. Very convenient location for exploring Big Bear Lake or skiing.

A very nice small cabin in a good location. I recommend the space for winter or cooler months, as the top floor (with two nice bedrooms) was incredibly hot during our warm Summer weekend so we couldn’t use that space. All in all it’s a great cabin with everything you need.

Amazing location for the price

Molly was really responsive and helpful. She was well organized and had a website available for us to look at the house rules, what to do in Big Bear, and help with check in and check out. That way there was no surprise. It is 10 minutes walk to the lake's shore and a short drive to a Marina, The Village and the Alpine slides/Magic mountains. Castle rock trail is only a short driving distance. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and well situated.

Spent a lovely weekend here! The cabin was very clean upon arrival and check in instructions were very clear. It’s decorated with little touches that fit the town aesthetic perfectly! We travelled in a group of 4 adults and we had plenty of room. It’s also in a great location, not too far from the lake or from town. 5 stars, would definitely recommend!
