Welcome to Slope Side Haus. Modern mountain escape, walking distance to Bear Mountain Ski Resort. Wonderful spaces for the entire family. Large lot with mature trees and a hill for sledding. Quite neighborhood, close enough to town, but far enough to enjoy nature.

The Home- Updated modern cabin vibes. 1,809 square foot escape. Plenty of room for the whole family! Three bedrooms(two primary rooms) and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms on the main living level. Third bedroom is a mini suite above the garage. All bedrooms with smart tvs. Game garage with pool table and arcade games. 

Animals of any sort are not allowed at this property. This is due to the owners being allergic to even the most hypo-allergenic of animals. There are no exceptions. For service animals please reach out so we can find the right home for you. 

Bedroom 1(Primary 1, Main level)- King sized bed, two nightstands, his/hers mirrored closet, working desk with monitor (bring your own device to connect to screen.) Gas fireplace to set the cozy vibes. Smart tv to connect to your streaming accounts. A tower fan is in the closet if needed. 

Bedroom 2(Main level)- Full/Full bunkbed, sitting bench, side tables, and closet. Direct access to the main deck (spa). 

Bedroom 3(Primary 2, upstairs above garage)- Large suite, king bed, nightstands, smart tv to connect to your streaming accounts. Mini kitchen, mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, and sink. Enjoy a beverage on balcony viewing back yard. Direct access to bathroom 3. Heated by its own wall heater. 

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, q tips, and floss picks. We do provide 1 hand towel and 2 wash cloths per bathroom. 9 bath & 9 spa towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.) A minimum of 2 rolls of toilet paper are provided per bathroom. More may be left depending on number of guests and duration of stay. If you use large amounts of toilet paper, please bring extra. 

Bathroom 1(main level)- Shower with single vanity. Located just off the living room and primary bedroom 1.

Bathroom 2(main level)- Shower/tub combo with double vanity. 

Bathroom 3(Primary 2, upstairs)- Tile shower with single vanity. 

Gaming Garage- Full sized pool table, 2 arcade units and bar height table with stools for 4. Tv with dvd player (no dvds are provided) This room is not heated. Space heaters are provided. Laundry facilities. 

Kitchen- Open floorplan with visibility into dining area. Counter top sitting for 4.  Full-sized fridge, gas stove, and dishwasher to help you create wonderful meals. If you prefer take-out no worries! Fully stocked with all utensils, dishware, cookware, and bakeware. A starter pack of paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, coffee grounds, keurig pods, and sugar are provided. 

Coffee set up- 12 cup drip, French press, Keurig.

Dining- Located in view of kitchen, large dining table with 2 chairs and 2 large benches. 

Living room- Sofa, love seat, coffee table, side tables, gas fireplace, various games, table with chairs for 4. Smart tv to log into your favorite streaming apps. 

Fireplaces- Slopeside Haus has 2 fireplaces. Both are gas, located in the living room and bedroom 1. Do not burn wood in them. 

Laundry area- Full sized HE washer and dryer located in the garage. 

Main/back Deck- Access through dining room or bedroom 2. Spa, propane grill, gas fire table, seating for 4, and kids picnic table. We replace propane tanks once a week. If it runs out during your stay please swap the tank. We reimburse for tank swaps with picture of itemized receipt. 

Upper deck- Access only from Bedroom 3. Overlooks back yard. 

Yard- There is no fenced area. There is a hill in the back yard that could be used for sledding. We do not provide sleds or guarantee snow in the yard. 

Parking- Asphalt parking for max 3 vehicles. You most likely will need AWD/4x4 and or chains in winter months due to a slight decline/incline of the driveway. There is no garage parking available. 

Heating- Central heating throughout home. Bedroom 3 has its own wall heater. Please note, like most homes in Big Bear this home does not have AC.  Gaming garage is heated by space heaters. 

Storage- There is a special space just for your snow gear! Located between the garage and bedroom3.

This home does not allow animals no exceptions. This does include service animals. The entire family including little ones who are sensitive to even the most hypo-allergenic breeds. Please keep their safety in mind. Reach out and we can help you find a home suitable for you and your companions.

There are two areas you do not have access to. A portion of the closet in bedroom 2, along with a closet in the ski storage area.  Both areas are locked. Don’t worry, you’re not missing much

After checking into the office, we will leave you to enjoy Big Bear, unless any issues arise. We are almost always available to contact. Please use the messaging option. These messages get sent to our whole team and is the fastest way to get a hold of us.

Vehicle is highly recommended. Ride share programs and taxis are VERY limited. There is public transit called Mountain transit. Please see their direct site for routes. The home is not on their route.

Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents, and remove weeds throughout the year. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees. 
Ants- Ants are unavoidable. The home is maintained by Terminix, but it does not fully prevent them. Do your part by wiping countertops. Please make sure to put food away and not on counters. We provide spray under the kitchen sink for in between Terminix sprays.

City of Big Bear Lake Good Neighbor Policy must be always respected. Please review the city rules.

Do not exceed the occupancy limit (9)
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. (This amount includes infants and children)

NO PARTIES ALLOWED.

No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated 
parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The 
maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior 
sign. (3)

No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the 
property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music 
carrying beyond the property line. 

Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 
10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. 

Take your furry friend with you.
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb 
surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake
is very dog-friendly! (This home is NOT pet/animal friendly)

Take trash to dumpster locations 
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear 
locations:
4190 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd. (this is a City of Big Bear Lake rule, not ours)
Consequences

Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to 
extend common courtesy and neighborly 
behavior toward the guests and residents 
around them. For those guests who have come 
to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility 
of the neighborhoods, there are costly and 
severe consequences. 

Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated 
previously is $500 per violation. A second 
offense is $1000 per violation. 

Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules 
and expectations will be evicted without a
refund. In addition, costly citations may be
issued to the reservation holder.

This is a very nice house and its owner. I originally booked another house but it broke down and the owner offered me a replacement house without extra charges, which was a great option. The house is clean and beautiful, located in a cozy place with a lot of trees and greenery in the summer. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, a great playroom, a good spa area, a hairdryer in each bathroom, an iron. I would like the owner to add a regular electric kettle to the house because it is much more convenient than a coffee kettle, there is also not enough cookware, yes, there is an electric frying panel and a slow cooker, but it seems to me that a regular saucepan and frying pan would be a better option. The owner is always in touch, I did not have to wait long for an answer when I wrote messages with questions. The owner is also friendly to animals, which is a big plus. I give 5 stars because even despite the small minuses I liked everything, I had a good rest with my fa
