This wasn’t our exact place we’re going to stay at since our original place had heating problems Molly offered other suggestions and we chose this place. The spot was even more better because it was at the corner of the street so it was very peaceful and quiet, beautiful backyard and we were able to even sleep in for once.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Playful Pines! It was perfect for our family, including our 9 month old and dog. The house was clean, spacious, inviting and very well stocked with everything we needed (toiletries, kitchen pantry staples, ziploc bags, etc) which made it feel like home. We really appreciated the squeaky clean kitchen and bathrooms. Molly even had baby gates, which was a bonus! The jacuzzi was super clean and nice to soak in after a long day skiing and hiking. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, but conveniently located a short distance from downtown Big Bear and both Snow Summit and Bear. We all (even the baby) felt refreshed and relaxed after our trip - we'd definitely stay again!

Ny family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! Tucked away in a peaceful and secluded spot, yet just a short distance from the village, it offered the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The house was spotless, cozy, and truly felt like a home away from home. It was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the detailed instructions provided by Molly were incredibly helpful and made accessing the property seamless. Highly recommend Molly’s home and will be staying here in the future.

We had a fantastic stay here at Playful Pines. We were looking for a cozy family cabin in Big Bear and this was exactly that! Nestled at the end of a quiet street, this lovely cabin provides a perfect and safe location for the kids to play in the snow and enjoy all that Big Bear has to offer. It’s close to the village but we found ourselves just enjoying the cabins beautiful scenic setting. The kids had a blast and we look forward to coming back!

Our stay at this cabin was truly delightful. The furniture is exceptionally cozy and comfortable, making our time indoors quite relaxing. We particularly loved the outdoor hot tub jacuzzi, which offered an array of features to enhance our experience. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Big Bear. Molly Mei and her Savvy Bear team are very responsive and accommodating.

This was place was great for me and my friends for a getaway weekend ! So many activities for us to do whether it was inside the house or around the area! Definitely cozy and comfy being in this house so would be recommending for future trips ! Molly was very nice and great at responding to the questions I had during and even before the trip ! 5/5

We had a wonderful time here! The location is great - close enough to food, lake, things to do with just enough distance to feel like a retreat. The home was decorated with christmas touches everywhere, which my toddler really appreciated. Our dogs also enjoyed the yard, which was spacious and had just the right amount of forest. Perfect for a small family gathering/getaway.

Clean, spacious house. Quiet neighborhood. Convenient location near Snow Summit and the village. Amenities including heaters worked well.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was spacious, cozy, and well stocked with everything we need. Molly & Seth were awesome hosts who were very responsive & helpful with any needs. A great location for walkers, there’s a wonderful hiking trail right behind the house and it’s a nice walk down to the village. And the hot tub is just dreamy! We’ll be back!

We stayed here for 3 nights. This is our 3rd Airbnb experience after using Hotels for years. We have kids & a dog so Airbnb's work better. I was worried after the 1st night our trip was going south. We got there & all of the curtains were open which made the house very warm (I was aware there was no A/C) but my family was grumpy! We ended up sleeping on the pull-out couches, as it was cooler downstairs. The 2nd & 3rd night the rooms were more tolerable as I closed the curtains during the day & popped the windows open to let a breeze through. Pro's/Con's: The kitchen is fully stocked w/all you need to cook. The bathrooms have essentials. Plenty of towels & sheets. Spacious! Gorgeous location! And super close to the Village. Dropping trash at the site was easy. Cons: Warm in the summer, bring a box fan! Or come later, this place would be amazing in the fall/winter! Needs a deep clean (they did say they do one 2-3 times per yr) Shower & kitchen sink leaked but they are working to fix

We loved our stay at Peaceful Pines! It was perfect for 2 small families. The kids took the lower living room and the adults stayed in the upstairs bedrooms. The outdoor spaces are lovely. We spent a lot of time on the decks since the weather was warm. The best thing was the ‘picnic table’ animal feeder. The kids loved watching the chipmunks, squirrels and birds. (Bring your own peanuts)

Great winter fairytale house. If you come in good spirit, you will enjoy being here to the fullest: from being able to walk to the Pine Knot center, reading in one of 2 living spaces, grilling your food to taking a dip in jacuzzi before watching a movie by the fireplace.

Let me start by saying I will book this place again and again because it was truly BREATHTAKING!!!! It’s so spacious, so comfy, and has everything you need PLUS MORE! The pics don’t do it justice because it’s that amazing in person! It checked everything off my list! The jacuzzi 10/10 it’s very clean and new. We even went sledding in our back yard! Only thing I regret is not booking more nights!

Beautiful home! We loved our stay at this airbnb; we’ve stayed in about 5 different homes in Big Bear and this has been our favorite so far. Highly recommend!

For the price, it was an okay stay. Hot tub was the best thing in the home. We had trouble getting into the driveway because the gate code wasn’t sent. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a response before being able to park. The blender was missing. I messaged and was assured we would have it dropped off Thursday. It wasn’t dropped off until sometime Friday morning with a bottle of wine. The living room area was freezing. We turned the thermostat up, but temp remained about 65-67 entire stay. The downstairs bathroom had bad water pressure and the upstairs bathroom was leaking into the dining room downstairs. They sent someone out who cleaned the shower head downstairs for better pressure, but it still wasn’t good enough to use. The one time I did, the shower curtain doesn’t reach the floor and there was a huge pool of water. Maintenance confirmed the leak was wear and tear to the home. Basic laundry took HOURS and multiple dryings. Came home with damp clothing.

The home was very comfortable and inviting. I’m just like the listing provided all accurate information. Pictures were all the same. It’s a great spot for backyard. Play beautiful views of the trees, love the kitchen, dinner table, eating area and the big open living room. Everything was amazing and comfortable felt right at home. Thank you for having us will come back again.

This is a great cabin close to Big Bear City and the ski slopes. It has two bedrooms upstairs and two large living rooms downstairs (both with pull-out couches) along with a well-appointed kitchen. There are games to play in the house and a jacuzzi outside. The backyard is sloped and can be used for sledding (bring your own as there was none at the cabin). Each downstairs room has its own thermostat and there's a thermostat for upstairs as well. The beds were nice except the pull-out couch in the upper living room is a bit sloped. There were plenty of linens and towels. I would have preferred if there was a house manual as there were a few things to figure out (like all the thermostats and the fact that the jacuzzi took hours and hours to get up to temperature). Overall, a great house in a great location.

I loved this place!! Perfect location. Such a beautiful home surrounded by trees & snow! Very well equipped and nicely decorated. Host was polite and even offered us a discounted 3rd night stay, but we weren’t able to do so. The place was relatively clean, but I did notice dog hair on linens/couch so I’m thankful I brought my own towel. I am aware this place is pet friendly, but I think the cleaning crew should be a little more detail oriented especially for whatever touches your body considering there is a 200$ cleaning fee. Additionally, when we opened the single bed/sofa there was dog fur and a lot of dust underneath the furniture. We vacuumed it to make sure our friend had pleasant sleep. Dishes were in the dishwasher when we arrived, so I’m not sure if they were supposed to be put away or left over from previous guests but we washed them. Overall it was a very pleasant stay

Huge place with many different areas. Nicely decorated and equipped. Fast WiFi. Relaxing setting but could walk to the village if you’re up for a bit of a stroll. Overall amazing.

Beautiful home! Well maintained and clean as a whistle. The hot tub was spectacular. It snowed during our visit and we were able to sled in the backyard with the kids. Definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway.

It was a wonderful stay. The patios were amazing and all the space in the living rooms made having multiple guests not feel crowded. The hosts were responsive and helpful. We had an amazing time and was super close to everything. It was nice being away from the sound and center of the town but still being pretty close to everything. Overall an amazing time and will probably stay here again.

This airbnb has a beautiful location, perfect for our kids to sled and play in the woods. We enjoyed fresh snow which made our stay magical. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything we needed was there. Also, the village was easily walkable from the house. The house was very nicely decorated for the holidays as well.

An amazing house in a perfect location. All the furniture is extremely comfortable and felt perfect after a day of skiing. The location can't be beat as it's walking distance to the village and a VERY short drive to the slopes. I only hope we'll be able to stay here again next time we come back!

Everything great. The only think we didn’t like is the policy of not being able to use the jacuzzi after 10pm. That is none sense. I understand a silent quiet policy after 10pm but why cannot use the jacuzzi at night?! Again, they should remove that policy or I will prioritize other properties in the future. Thanks.

This home was just perfect for our three night getaway from San Diego where the goal was to do nothing and get lost in the woods. We are a family of six with kids 17-9yo and everyone loved the home. The two family rooms with tv’s and comfy couches were perfect for movies, hot chocolate and building forts. The hot tub was great and fit our whole fam- we used it everyday we were there. I personally loved that it was still decorated for Fall being that it was Thanksgiving week. We were able to get to a grocery store easily, go tubing in the “snow” nearby and order pizza right down the street for our last night. We made meals in the kitchen and enjoyed their Keurig with complimentary coffee pods every morning. We loved it and would return!

We loved it so much! Totally want to come back and stay at Playful Pines Heaven again. Perfection

Great stay!

The stay here was great! It's a huge house with so many places for people to sleep and hang out. The outdoor space is BEAUTIFUL - you're close to town but still are surrounded by woods. The weather was beautiful and the porch was so perfect in the mornings and hanging out in the hot tub in the evenings was so relaxing. There were also games throughout the house for groups to play which was super fun. The only thing I'd say is the kitchen was missing a few things for the meals we were cooking, so if you're planning on making a slightly elaborate dinner/dessert, maybe bring some of your own supplies :) Overall it was a great experience and stay!

Our family really enjoyed this cabin, it is located in a very quiet part of the neighborhood and very close access to hiking trails and town. The space living space was cozy and the beds were very comfortable, the outside space was very relaxing. We would highly recommend this cabin.

This home is simply spectacular and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. It’s such a special, unique property to come together in.

All i can say is molly was a life saver after having to check out of our previous airbnb due to a rude host we only had a hour to find another home and let me tell u molly responded so quickly to me that her home was ready to be use, so i booked instantly and that place was so nice and clean she had everything we needed in her home i loved the jucuzzi it was really relaxing any questions i had molly would respond quickly to me and also christian that was at the front office when check in was super helpful as well thank you guys !

This place is a gem! Beautiful in and out. The only thing is there’s no AC so it was super hot in the house but so worth it. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. The hot tub and the back patio was such an amazing place to hang out and make memories. Even though we only used the hot tub twice because it was 89 degrees outside we still got to enjoy it. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. If you’re bringing your dog please keep them close. Our dog came really close to a coyote glad it ran away when our dogs started barking. But it came back in the afternoon with his friends but they were just passing through. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to just get away or see Big Bear Lake. Absolutely loved stayed here! Whenever I visit big bear this will def be my go to cabin. Felt right at home and super cozy.

My family and I had a wonderful stay over spring break here. I love the location and the privacy of this home. We were fortunate to have snow while we were there. The backyard was big enough to have our own hill to slide down. The Jacuzzi was nice setting and beautiful view. Everything was clean we would go back again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The open space behind the house was great for sledding and the jacuzzi was nice and well maintained. The only thing is that the 3rd bedroom (downstairs living room) did have a door to close but the door was glass so if you have little kids, it’s bright in there if you stay up and hang in the other living room. That was a very small thing though and overall had a great experience. The communication was quick and easy. We would stay here again!

Just stayed at Molly’s place and it was amazing ! It was such a nice quiet neighborhood and so close to get anywhere you needed to be ! The double living rooms were awesome and don’t get me started on the jacuzzi. Her place was clean and spacious, would definitely stay here again!

My family and I were happy with our stay! :) Very comfortable

It was a lovely place to stay. Me and my family and friends went up for a long weekend get away. That’s what it was! The only thing that I wish would change would be the hours for the hot tub. We got our moneys worth at the mountain and didn’t get off of it till late so we didn’t really have a lot of time to enjoy it. But the time we did it was great! The guys slid down the hill in the backyard, we used the grill. Felt like a home away from my home in Maine. Close to the mountains for early morning get up and go. I would stay here again.

Our second time renting Molly's place and it was just as great as the first! Easy check-in (welcome gift with bottle of wine was a nice touch), everything was clean, and the bedding arrangements worked well for our 3 adults and 3 kids (pull-out sofas were great). Relaxing in the 104 degree hot tub out back surrounded by trees and snow is always a highlight. We can't wait to come back!

I stayed at Playful pines haven for my birthday weekend and could not have asked for a better location. The cabin is cozy yet spacious, and private yet close to town and everything you need (and a 5 minute drive to snow summit!). The kitchen was where we spent most of our time as we love to cook and eat. There is ample room for everybody to hang out, play games, and grub. The living and family rooms are so cozy and perfect for lazy movie nights. They’ve beautifully strung lights in the backyard and I can’t wait to come back for summer bbqs! My golden retriever had a blast with his zoomiez in the big backyard 🐶 Some notes: There is a dishwasher There is a keurig machine and a coffee maker They provide plenty towels and have a washer/dryer available

Awesome cabin. Lots of space, clean and pet friendly. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need to feed the whole family. Bedrooms had very comfortable beds but people who slept on the pull out couches did not sleep as well, as expected with a pull out bed. Make sure you bring your chains, one of our cars had trouble getting up the hill, the house is located on a dead end and was very slippery. Would definitely stay here again. Had a wonderful time. Molly was a great host!

Great location and very nice home. Sometimes, pictures and descriptions aren't always what you get. We were pleasantly surprised. Had everything we needed. So glad we were able to bring along our pups, too. Thanks for sharing your home and will likely stay again in the future, if available.

The home was very beautiful. Loved the layout everything was convenient. We had just a few little issues.

The place is very nice. Clean and spacious. Hot tub is well maintained, porch and shared spaces are beautiful. Rooms are small but cozy. The king bed was comfortable enough, heard from the rest of our group that the queen and pull-out downstairs were both uncomfortable. We are in our 30s so take that how you will. Location is about a 15 minute walk to the Main Street where all the shops and restaurants are. Quiet street that feels fairly private even though there are other houses nearby. Biggest down side is the stress of all the rules in place and fees associated - every type of additional cleaning fee for anything above very basic cleaning. Trash must be taken to off-site dumpster (seems to be fairly standard big bear practice), no hot tub past 10p, strict on no street parking - only 2 car spots available - tandem. All in all, it was a beautiful place to stay for a couple nights! With lots of room to relax.

Beautiful home, and in a great neighborhood. The pictures are underwhelming. Very spacious, and worked well for our group of 8. Such an awesome hiking trail right up from the house, and in such a good location for the busy life below. We had some cleaning issues, which led us to having clean the house ourselves. But overall we throughly enjoyed the house and would visit again.

Great hosts, great location, and a beautiful house spend time with family and friends. The house had all the amenities needed for a lovely getaway.

Beautiful place to stay at !

This was a beautiful private home. It’s very spacious and clean. The kitchen had most things you would like except a frying pan. The jacuzzi was a great touch. It was new and really nice. The fireplaces were a little difficult to figure out at first but we got a response quickly, even one of the property managers offered to come by and help us figure it out. Super friendly and responsive. The host even left us a sweet gift. This home was very well kept. The linens smell fresh and clean. Which I really appreciated. Lots of room in this house for families, or group gathers. We absolutely loved our time here and hope to return sooner rather than later.

The location is perfect! It’s so close to everything but since the house is located at the end of the street it feels like you are far away! There’s tons of privacy! The house is perfectly set up for families with two living areas so your kids can have a living room to themselves while the parents can relax in the other living room. The beds were very comfortable but I would bring additional towels for shower use. The towels worked fine for my children and I but my husband is tall and needed a much larger size. The backyard is wonderful!! My children as well as my husband and I had a blast playing in the snow. The jacuzzi was super nice compared to some other airbnbs we stayed at. Even though our car got stuck in the driveway twice we still had an amazing time. You won’t be disappointed staying here especially when it snows! Oh! Usually we prefer the “self check in” airbnbs but the check in process was so easy and located very close to the home! Overall we had a great time!

Nice size house in good central location. They did provide clean sheets and towels which was nice along with kitchen utensils and cooking items to get you through your stay. The grill works very well and the surrounding area and woods were beautiful. The king bed was comfortable. We had some issues with cleanliness. Behind the headboards and nightstands were dirty/dusty, baseboards dirty/dusty, carpet stained in multiple rooms. the heat was turned up the first day which made it unbearable until about 3 am when the house finally cooled down, but we were able to bypass that the following days we stayed by keeping the heat off. Considering this was the middle of summer when we stayed that wasn't a good policy to have for previous tenants to turn the heat up upon check out. Upstairs thermostat didn't like to shut off so we had it turned all the way down. I wouldn't recommend turning up the heat in the summers as the house doesn't have a/c and it makes it too hot. Lighting was very poor in the kitchen. We had to run a cleaning cycle on the jacuzzi before using it because of cloudy water. The back deck is creaky and unstable. We didn't want our children running back there for fear it would collapse. Pull out beds were very old and broken and appeared dirty. We had to purchase a blow up mattress for personal use because pull out on main floor was sagging too much.

Our stay was so great! SUPER CLEAN!This home is amazing! From the cozy setting indoors to a beautiful and fun atmosphere outside. We had a wonderful stay and hope to stay here again soon!

Fantastic location!

This was a great home for our little girls trip with my granddaughters and my sister the 6 of us had a great time . check in was easy and they were very Friendly. If you travel in the summer be prepared there is no AC Ceiling fans are in just a few areas of the home and upstair bedrooms were very warm during the day and most evenings they didn't cool down until after 10pm. Yes, We ran out and bought fans because it was just so warm. We went June 5th - 9th during this heatwave, in the winter im sure the rooms are cozy. Vons is literally 5 minutes away but because of the heat we decided to eat out and BBQ most our stay but if you wanted to cook the kitchen seemed to have everything you'd need .Including a microwave and toaster oven also If needed They have a nice stackable washer & dryer we packed lite and with the granddaughters it was nice to have. we also kept the bath towels washed and swimming suits clean. Don't forget you'll need to bring your own laundry soap if you plan to wash anything . The jacuzzi was nice just be careful using it we followed all the rules including a few of my own with these granddaughters of mine along with the clean suite , wash before you enter rules we used it 2 times out of 4 days ( maybe 3 hours ) . Molly said she had to drain it so we were charged a dicounted drainage fee . So enjoy but be aware it must need to be drained often, im still thinking 🤔 the heat played a BIG factor in this . The BBQ works great 👍and to cut back on heating up the home we used the BBQ and enjoy the outdoors deck . My granddaughters are 10, 8 , 7 and my niece is 12 they had a great time catching lizards 🦎 and critters lol. watching the lil chipmunks 🐿 play they came right up on the deck while we sat out playing board games . We made some wonderful memories at this home July 2021 nothing got in the way of that Molly and her husband were very responsive to the messages and questions I had . Molly had no control over mother nature and the HEAT! WE'D stay again it was in a great location I took the girls on the pirate ship cruise, .Magic Mountain it was fun water slide , zipline, Rollercoaster and more all within 10 - 15 minutes from the home. Oh my word , I have one more tip for you traveling. The owner ask that you haul off the trash (not a problem at All right ) they even provided the address for us, but what we didn't know is that it Needs to be separated, there was a line of people at the trash drop off like us trying to separate trash .The trash site has LARGE bins set up and each one is labeled for what you can drop in it and when your packed up and ready to hit the road it's a pain ! For us it was already in the 90 ° , UGH! lol. so be prepared. sort , sort sort lol Just have fun this home was awesome , clean and in a great location. Thank you Mtngrl67

Being there was magic really. Our family waited a long time to all be together and now I feel like a part of all of us are still there sitting on the patio feeding chipmunks. Everything was great like a dream I visit in my mind often. If I could afford it I'd but this house! Plus the location is great too. Just loved it.

The place was great! I loved the brand new hot tub, so clean, and watching the sun set. So hidden in the trees, quiet and private. The kitchen is a little dark for light, but it has the basics you need to cook dinner. I cooked the fish I caught and it worked perfectly! Would definitely stay at this place again.

Great location and very nice home. Make sure you start the spa when you arrive we didn’t realize that and could not use it on night one. Otherwise great stay centrally located to everything and the Space was great 😊 cooked a lot and bbq was so easy to use. Very private and great hiking trail close by

We came here as a group of friends for a long weekend getaway, and we just loved it. The location is great, easy to get there and to get anywhere around town from there. The hot tub was amazing every evening after a long day of activities and the living rooms were so beautiful and fun to watch scary movies or play board games in at night. We also cooked dinner every night, and the kitchen had every cooking utensil we needed. Very comfortable, and cute. We very much recommend this cabin!

The space had everything we needed and then some. Two huge living rooms and really nice outdoor space. Great location close to everything but still tucked away with plenty of privacy. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place with lots of space!

Had an amazing time at Molly's cabin. Perfect for our family of 5. Amazing location at the end of a street backing to the forest. Last 100 yards to cabin is uphill and can be tricky if road is icy (chains or 4wd needed). Perfect sledding hill right outside the back door. It snowed nearly 2 feet while we were there and we soaked in the brand new hot tub while it snowed! Kids loved the 2nd family room that had an xbox 360. Two fireplaces kept the house nice and toasty. All beds were comfy and plenty of space to spread out. 20 minute walk to the Village. We can't wait to go back!!

This was a beautiful home with lots of space the pictures on the listing doesn’t justify how great this place is lots of sleeping space with extra beds and the back yard is gorgeous! It leads to a hiking trail covered in snow and the inside of the house is a lot more upgraded then the pictures very homey and cozy I just wish I had an extra day to just relax in the house all day. Definitely coming back!

Beautiful and spacious Big Bear home in a great location . We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy both together time and privacy when needed. Molly was great to deal with and we will definitely stay there again!

Loved, loved my time at Molly Mei’s home. It quickly became my favorite Airbnb place. Cozy, spacious, clean, and great location. Highly recommend staying here.

The place was lovely! We enjoyed every moment and wish we could’ve stayed longer. To say this home was perfect is an understatement! And they made it extra special with the Christmas decoration. Thanks a lot Molly and Greg! Looking forward to staying sometime again soon!

great getaway location and home!!

Place was great, the extra living spaces provided great temp bedrooms for individuals in my group and the space around the house was very mellow. Good find if you stay here!

Molly’s place was amazing to stay at I took my boys on a mini vacation and they had a blast there was Beautiful decks and porches to hang out on the backyard was so full of snow The living rooms were amazing with the fireplace running it was so cozy the kids didn’t even use the bedroom because the living rooms were so awesome kitchen was great to cook and I loved it, anytime I had any questions Molly was quick to respond I would definitely come back to this place we loved it thank you again Molly you are a great host!!!

This place is awesome and the hosts are fantastic. Our family booked this place for a weekend / birthday getaway and we were surprised by a sudden snow storm that ended up leaving almost 1.5 ft of snow. The hosts were amazingly responsive and took all the stress out of what could have been a rather drastic weekend. The place is incredibly clean, well thought out and welcoming. The two fireplaces in each of the TWO living room areas keep the place warm and cozy. We HIGHLY recommend this place as we will surely be returning.
