We stayed at this house in Big Bear for two nights over the Independence Day weekend. While we understand the higher pricing due to the holiday, $900 still felt a bit steep for what the property offers. The home was clean and in a convenient location, but it’s smaller than it appears in the photos. Soundproofing is minimal—you can hear conversations and footsteps from the second floor, as well as noise from the street. The upstairs room doesn’t have a door and is open to the kitchen, which isn’t ideal for privacy or sleeping in. It also gets quite hot, and there’s no AC in that room. The downstairs bedroom was more comfortable, but it connects directly to the porch, so anyone wanting to hang out outside needs to pass through, which can disturb whoever is staying there. P.S. The owner thoughtfully left a bag with wine and waters for the 4th of July celebration, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated!

We absolutely loved this home! The layout was perfect for our family of four plus our pup. The kids enjoyed having their loft space bedroom, and the hot tub access off the main bedroom was an excellent perk for the grown-ups. The kitchen was cute and usable for preparing breakfast and lunch, and the neighborhood was accessible, beautiful, and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I needed a few days to decompress and this place was exactly what we needed for our break. The house was perfect for the two of us and our dog. We live an hour away from Big Bear and have been to visit during the holiday season but never overnight. My husband and I have usually stayed in the village so this time was wonderful. We never even went into the village for this trip. It was simply relaxing to not feel rushed. We ventured out for some meals and cooked some meals at the cottage. There was everything that we needed to cook. My husband works remotely so he worked at the table downstairs and I either read outside on the beautiful deck or upstairs in the loft. The entire cottage was spotless. Only one small problem with a non working television remote. Molly was responsive and sent someone over with a new remote. Great walking area at the Stanfield March boardwalk nearby and grocery stores are close by. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the deck with a glass of wine.

We spent 2 nights here. Host was super friendly and the place was really nice and cozy too. We really relaxing in the Hut tub in the the back patio/deck. Would recommend to a friend or family member.

Great place to stay!

We loved this cabin and would stay here again. It had an excellent location, 10 min or so from anything we wanted to do in the area. They did a terrific job renovating - the cabin is a box of modern and vintage. It had great amenities. The hot tub was ready/hot for us when we arrived. Molly was very responsive and friendly. They were dog friendly, which we really appreciated. In fact, they even had dog treats!

Perfect location! My husband and I decided to walk to Snow Summit and meet our girls after they finished snowboarding it was great! The walk was not too bad and we saw some beautiful homes on the way to Snow Summit. This house did not disappoint, nice and cozy and central to everything we did.

Molly Mei’s place was a wonderful getaway from home. Molly Mei was always very responsive and ready to answer any questions. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a mountain escape!

Our stay was amazing! Awesome and responsive hosts. It was very easy to check in and get access to the cabin. super clean and cozy inside. My family and I felt right at home. Will be booking again for sure!

Mollys cabin was just what we needed. All the creature comforts were wonderful and she even allowed our golden retriever Maverick, who loved the squirrels and pinecones everywhere! we loved the charm and character her cabin had and enjoyed the cozy ambiance under the pines! The spa was heated and was the icing on the cake after a fun and long day of skiing! Molly was super responsive and communicative and will definitely be coming back for some more Spring skiing soon!!!

Me and my gf enjoyed this place! Thank you molly for being so responsive! However, the place was not necessarily spotless which is okay but we did find black hair in the bathroom counter, one of the extra pillows in the closet had what looked like a blood stay, and the smell was just a little off when we first checked in. Besides that we did enjoy this place! The jacuzzi was very clean which we appreciated a lot!

I didn’t want to leave a review but Air BnB kept prompting me. The location is on the opposite side of town from the village. But the drive is 10 min. We didn’t mind it at all. Just be aware. The jacuzzi and fire table is what had us book this location over others. Figured parents in hot tub and kids making a smore. Didn’t use the fire table kids ended up loving the hot tub 🤣. At 10pm or so when we decided to get ready for bed we pulled back blankets to see the bedding had clearly not been washed. White duvet had brown foundation make up or dirt in multiple areas. And a huge pee spot. The Extra blanket in the closet was covered in dog hair. At that point we were irked. Everything else was fine. Cute cabin. I was refunded my cleaning fee after having to ask for it. The host wouldn’t have offered. Which is honestly sad because the main reason for renting this place was to sleep somewhere. We spent the rest of our time out and about.

Beautiful home and very quiet very peaceful surroundings

The cabin is nestled within pine trees, and is very quiet. The home is supplied with everything you would need for a comfortable stay and the beds are also excellent. We enjoyed the relaxing spa on the back deck and there is a propane fire pit on the deck as well. The location is good and the home is tastefully decorated making the overall experience a great one.

I first have to say that Molly was super responsive and helpful! The power went out during our stay and she responded with information and help right away. The place is very clean and we had no issues with anything. Quiet neighborhood and nice place to walk our dogs ! The Village is close by and Vons and start bucks even closer. Would definitely recommend this air b n b . Thank you Molly! :)

Amazing comfy place

What a fantastic stay!

Overall, I am satisfied with my stay here. When I arrived there was a loud alarm going off, but thankfully Molly and her team were quick to come fix the situation. Afterwards, they did not respond when I let the know the wifi was not working. So I had to spend almost a full day at the nearby Starbucks to get some work done. Additionally, the deck had some trash left behind and the bathroom had rust on the shower which stained our clothing. Nevertheless, the cabin was very cute with a good set up, good location, and good amenities.

Good experience nice house

Really enjoyed staying here and will be back! A couple things were broken and there wasn’t as much cookware as we would’ve liked (missing pans and cookie sheets), but we managed! Overall a cute, clean place and a good size with communicative hosts.

I usually never leave reviews, but this place is in the heart of everything you want to do and literally feels like a little cottage. It is so cute. The only downfall I would say about the place was the shower Didn’t really get hot, it was hardly a like warm temperature. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect. Thanks again Molly for having us.

We had an incredible stay at this amazing place! My family and I have been coming to Big Bear annually and usually stay near the village, but this year’s lakeside getaway was truly special. The location is perfect for exploring the lake and discovery center, while still offering a private and quiet retreat. The property was spotless and exactly as described. The hot tub was a real treat, especially in the cooler weather. We also appreciated being able to bring our furry friend along. While we did miss having a pan and foil for the oven, it didn’t detract from our overall experience. The property was well-equipped for a perfect getaway, and the check-in process was a breeze. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay!

I loved my stay in Big Bear! This was my second time staying at one of Molly and Seth's rentals and it did not disappoint. The place was very clean, it was in an excellent location, and I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Great location, close to Oktoberfest. Nice area to walk around and enjoy the view. The cabin is very cute from the outside and has a fireplace that helped keep the place warm. I loved the little kitchen area. The hosts were very friendly and contacted me with the check in instructions. The cabin was pretty dusty inside and I was disappointed with the shower. The shower head was very dirty and the shower curtain liner smelled really bad. The couch and the bed weren’t the comfiest, very stiff. Overall, it was an okay cabin.

Great stay will be back

Molly‘s place was a charming escape from the stress of every day life. We came here to go hike and we were very close to all the local trails. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with everything you’d need to make some meals while on your trip away. The hot tub was the star of the show as we relaxed after hiking the mountains and watching the stars at night. I really appreciated how easy it was to get into the house having struggled with other keypads on other Airbnb locations and the fact that we could park right outside the house was very convenient. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

It was a peaceful getaway from home that was much needed.

Great stay! Everything is as described. The hot tub was amazing and loved that it was connected to the master bedroom. Only thing holding the place back is the metal bedframe in the master bedroom for the king size bed. It makes loud noises even with small movements when trying to sleep which made for not the best night of sleep. Woke up a few times throughout the night due to the noise. Not a huge deal, but small constructive feedback would be to get a more sturdy bed frame.

Initially thought the place would be bigger but quickly settled in and have grown to really like the cabin. Needed a place to stay for fumigation, though that got rescheduled so I was stuck with a 4 day reservation. Ended up making the best of it, as the location was beautiful and a great place to walk my 2 dogs every day.

The place was great, very cute and cozy. The location couldn’t be better. Far enough so that you really got to relax in the mountains but close enough to have a short drive to the lake and downtown area. Only downside was the beds are extremely hard. If you are a “firm” mattress individual, you would love it. But unfortunately for myself, I only lasted one night on the king bed before my back started killing me.

Our stay was exactly what we needed. I loved the convenience of the location. I also loved all the small amenities, the hot tub was definitely a wonderful bonus. The linen on the beds were pristine, and definitely hotel quality. What a beautiful home! The best part was that our dogs were able to join us.

We stayed here for 2 nights during a surprise April snowstorm. The house was cozy, warm, and well taken care of. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and the loft bedroom. Hosts were responsive and helpful.

Obsessed with this home! We had such a lovely stay and all attractions were only a short drive away Love the decor of the home and cozy feeling, also has everything you need including games, record player and guitar. We had a very lovely stay and would book again!

Our family had a great time on our stay here. It was clean and just as described. All of the key attractions were close by which was very convenient. Inside we found log cabin charm mixed with all the modern conveniences including a washer and dryer. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to another stay in the near future.

This little cabin was adorable and exactly as pictured. The hot tub was warm and the heater was more than enough for the home. There were games which was a nice addition. The location was convienent and easy to find. The kitchen had everything we needed! Would come back!

Most places say they’re dog friendly but this cabin was 100% dog friendly. There were treats, bowls, and doggy bags available for use. The kitchen was small but we were able to cook multiple meals there comfortably and they had every appliance we needed. The owners were also extremely accommodating to my multiple requests. I will definitely be staying there again and bringing my fur babies!

We are so lucky we found this beautiful, pet friendly cabin with a hot tub. We had a group of 5 spend the night and it was the perfect size for all of us plus two dogs. The kitchen was beautiful and well appointed while the living spaces were well decorated and very clean. Check in was easy and we even got to check in a little early! For pet owners, there is no fenced yard but for short stays this was okay with us. The hot tub was preheated when we got there and perfect to enjoy after a day of snowboarding. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cabin in Big Bear.

The place looks initially great on the pictures. The door knob going from the inside to the outside is hard to turn. There are various places throughout the house that are not finished or was cheaply done. The biggest turn off for this place was the Fred Flintstone bed. The bed was so hard. Although the jacuzzi was clean which was nice. Overall small improvements should be made to make it worth the while of paying $800 for two nights.

Cute place for a little escape from the city! Nice and cozy

This place wasn't the best for our family of 3. The major issue was that the toilet was clogged upon and full of feces upon our arrival. I notified the hosts about it and was able to locate a plunger to unclog it. The stairs to the stairs to the 2nd floor is not safe for young kids. Our 4 year old would've injured himself if I wasn't there to catch him. We ended up avoiding the upstairs room altogether, since it was more of a hazard to us. The bed on the ground floor bedroom was strange and uncomfortable. The tub also had very weak water pressure and the surround was not in the best shape. We avoided using the hot tub altogether after seeing all of these things and decided to cut our trip short. Overall, i think this place needs upgrades that would make it more enjoyable. This may be suitable for younger adults looking for a place to stay for cheap, but I wouldn't recommend this place for families with young kids.

What a gem! Also quite spacious. We originally were planning for a group of 4 and that would have fit very comfortably no doubt. Ended up just being two of us and we had such a wonderful time. Dedicated parking, easy to find and streamlined check in process, walking distance to catching the free transit line as well. Just a short couple minute drive from airport, Oktoberfest, village and so much more. Can’t wait to return!

Such a beautiful space! Came with my husband, MIL, SIL, and fur baby and we were all absolutely delighted at how eclectic and special this home is. There were all the amenities one would need, and any question I had was responded to in a reasonable time. They accommodated a later check out, which was so helpful. I absolutely LOVED this place! Would come a million more times if I could :)

What a fantastic place! This cabin is equipped with everything, it’s spotless, cozy, and just perfect. We loved how dog friendly it was down to the provided dog bowls. The beds were comfortable, clean, and everything you’d want in a home away from home. We will most definitely look forward to our next stay at Figgy Stardust!

Nice getaway trip!

This was the perfect weekend cabin for a couple, or probably even for more. I think this was one of the most comfortable sleeps I have ever had away from home. Close to basically everything, especially Oktoberfest.

Cute cabin, well decorated with everything you need to cook. I love that they had coffee, cooking oil etc..as well as a bowl for our fur animal and the jacuzzi was ready for us! After a long day hiking to hang out in the outdoor jacuzzi was perfect. Bed was comfortable and we had lots of towels. The Jeffreys pine tree in the middle of the deck made it special. Great communication!

Super cute cabin!!! Great location and perfect for our weekend getaway. Very comfortable bedding and fully stocked with all the things you need in kitchen while away. Love that they have board games and a record player with some great albums for entertaining yourselves. Would definitely stay her again!

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, clean and cozy home, very spacious for us (a couple) with lots of toys (paddleboard, bikes, hiking gear, food to cook, etc.). The hot tub was amazing and the downstairs King bed was the most comfortable I've ever been! Downsides - a bit annoying to have to go to a separate location for check-in, as at most AirBnBs we don't have to do something like this.. but it wasn't a huge hassle. Also, there is very minimal lighting inside the home, especially in the kitchen, and the living room light was finicky for about half our stay. Record player wasn't working either -- not a huge component of the airbnb but admittedly part of the selling point for us. Overall we had a great stay and are happy to have spent the 3 days there. Thank you!

First time to Big Bear and it was a great stay. Cottage was nice, clean and peaceful. Check in process was super easy and communication was great. I defiantly recommend!

This cabin was in a good location close to the lake and restaurants. The place was clean and had everything you needed. Parking was easy and the back deck was great. Spa was clean and new looking. No AC but fans were provided.

We stayed at Figgy Stardust. When we got there the backyard was a mess with pollen all over the place. This appears to be common during the time of our stay but it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The broom provided was insufficient and there was no hose to wash down the deck and the chairs. There was an extension cord laying on the ground as well as a plastic bag. We are also being charged $50 because we didn't take out the trash when we left. As far as the cabin goes, the bed was comfortable, well stocked dishes and condiments. The spa in the backyard was fantastic. Good location, friendly neighbors and easy parking.

We loved the place it was so serene and peaceful. We enjoyed staying there very much. The hot tub was incredible and so was the grill. Thought it was fun having a cocktail shaker there. The outdoor seating in the front and the back was enjoyable. Would stay again.
