Great place to stay. Close to town, yet far enough for privacy. Nice and tucked away, it was the perfect mountain getaway. House was cozy and the yard and patio deck were very inviting. Our dog (and us) loved how the property was completely fenced in. It is very secure. Very quiet and very a very beautiful setting.

We had an excellent stay! The host was very welcoming and responsive. The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The backyard was a real highlight—plenty of room to relax, soaking in the spa while enjoying the outdoors. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a super clean home with great indoor and outdoor spaces!

Centrally located in the Big Bear area. The fenced front and back yards were great for our dog. We loved the backyard with the deck. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Both bedrooms were large. My only complaint would be not enough silverware in the kitchen. Will rent again if we go to the Big Bear area.

Great stay at Molly’s with our 2 dogs for 4 nights this past week. Great location and walkable to the village and lake. Quiet neighborhood with a nice backyard fully enclosed to let the dogs loose. The hot tub was a real nice bonus while enjoying the trees and the lively birds singing away with the pups able to chill on the deck at the same time. Extremely relaxing for sure! Thank you Molly for sharing your place with us!

We had a fantastic stay at Molly’s cabin in Big Bear! The place looked just as amazing in person as it did in the photos—super cozy, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully appointed. The hot tub was a huge hit and the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Our kids had a blast and felt right at home, which made the trip even more special for us. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and exactly as described. Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into. Molly was a wonderful host—clear communication and everything was ready for us when we arrived. We’d definitely love to come back!

Staying at the Chez caboose house was such a great experience. My family of 5 and our 2 dogs came for the week of Fourth of July and they were very accommodating. It was definitely a nice experience staying at an Airbnb versus staying at a hotel. We were able to get a little bit more comfortable and be more relaxed in a home setting. The host were very sweet and dropped us off a little Fourth of July patriotic theme goodie bag, which was full of fun things to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Clean and comfortable - the beds were perfect and the air conditioners worked perfectly. The house met all of our needs. The backyard fence could use some repairs but we were able to let our dogs out front (securely) so all good.

Molly was an incredible host. The house was in great condition when we arrived, absolutely spotless and plenty of linen. The backyard was spacious, private and cozy and was the perfect situation for our four legged family members. The house is about a 20 minute walk to town and the surrounding neighborhood was great for early morning and evening walks. Just about everything we need was only about a five minute drive away. My husband had a zoom call that he need to take in our day of check out and Molly graciously gave us some extra time and even mailed all of our bathroom stuff we left at her house back to us. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing get away for families with kids and or fur babies.

Amazing stay, felt right at home with everything we need. Backyard and deck were a blast for kids and dog. Convenient location. Kids had a blast in the kids room and the rest of the house is very nice.

We loved staying here. The yard was great for our dogs, the hot tub was perfect for the evenings and early morning. The location was close enough to the village. Overall really enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.

Great stay, very responsive host, made for an amazing experience.

We stayed in this cabin for 4 nights. We loved that it was pet friendly and appreciated we could bring our two dogs due to the description of the high secure fence. This was not totally accurate as there is a 3 feet gate to the backyard which can be accessed by pets while they are outside. Some of the wood fence needs to be replaced also as there are gaps which our small dog could have fit through if he was motivated / saw a squirrel or another dog. There was also no poop bags or dog bowls as noted on the description. They did offer to drop off dog bowls after I messaged them but did not do so during our stay. The thermostat in the cabin was also completely off. When it was 30F outside it said it was 79 inside without the heater on. We had to turn the heater to 88F for it to actually heat inside. It definitely needs replacing. The cabin needed a deep clean with mold in the upstairs shower and the floors needing to be mopped. Very dirty floors. Other than that we enjoyed.

Had a great time with my family and dog at this Chez Caboose. Nice, Quiet neighborhood. plenty of trails for dog walks and hikes.

Perfect location to go spring skiing. 5 minutes to Snow Summit, 10 minutes to Big Bear. We walked to town everyday, approximately 20 minutes. Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a day on the slopes. Molly was quick to respond to any queries we had and the place was exactly as described. A word of warning, there are coyotes in the area, keep an eye out if you have a small dog. My wife was stalked twice while taking the pups for a walk.

The cabin was everything we expected and more absolutely beautiful, big backyard and front yard if you have a dog and the kids can build a snowman right there in front. Literally just a couple minutes away from the village, restaurants, and skiing. Also plenty of parking for your cars in front. Molly was amazing answering all our questions quickly. We would absolutely love to stay there again thank you again. We so appreciate you guys.

We had a terrific stay at Chez Caboose. The house was quiet and clean, and Molly was a terrific host; friendly and very responsive. Our daughter loved the bunk bed room and our dogs enjoyed the fenced yard. We’ll definitely look to stay here again!

This is an amazing location as it’s central to many attractions! There was ample space in all the bedrooms which was great to put away all of our belongings.

We loved that this place was in a cul-de-sac & very conveniently located to the grocery store. It was a quiet peaceful stay. The property itself was fully fenced & perfect for anyone bringing kids or dogs. Both rooms were spacious. We traveled with 4 adults, 2 toddlers, & 2 dogs - we felt there was plenty of room for all of us.

Molly and Seth were super responsive. There was some concerns regarding cleanliness and it was resolved within the same day ! Photos were accurate and also pet friendly.

We loved our stay at Chez Caboose! Beautiful home in a peaceful area. Our puppies enjoyed the yard while we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Our host communicated very well in a timely fashion. Our one regret is we only got to enjoy it for a day.

Good place, close to skiing and village. Nice backyard and the house matched the description. The primary shower was great, nice hot water and pressure on a cold day. Would stay there again.

Cute place! Really private feel, the only down fall was the living room seating and dining space. We had 6 people, 2 of them being larger men and the seating in both the dining area and living room weren’t large enough for us. Other than that this place is great! The outdoor space makes up for the lack of seating during meals, we had out meals out there.

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful weekend getaway with our dog, and this home was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood was very peaceful. Our dog had a great time running around the yard as well. Would definitely book with these hosts again for future trips to Big Bear.

Muy bonita la cabaña de Molly, las instrucciones fueron claras para entrar, tenia todo lo necesario para la estadía. Todo esta muy bonito, agradable. Solo tenia un pequeño problema con la bañera del baño de abajo que se debe apretar muy muy bien las llaves para que deje de salir agua y no se tire. Fuera de ese detalle todo excelente! Muchas gracias por la estadía Molly, mi familia y yo lo disfrutamos mucho así como el Jacuzzi fue un gran plus. Además llevamos nuestros 2 perros y sin problema pudieron estar en el patio libremente sin molestar a los vecinos.

The place was nice, peaceful, and close to everything. We enjoyed our stay. The dishwasher didnt work when I arrived. After a repair man came, was determined it needed a part and wouldnt be available during my stay. Seth stated he'd provide a refund due to the inconvenience, which was kind, however I have not received it. The living room rug is in need of replacement. It has many stains. The beds were comfortable and the BBQ was amazing!

Host was communicative and informative. Great location. Enjoyed the hot tub and peace. Kids loved the bunks, and mom loved the provided starter coffee!

Had a great time staying here in the summer this time around! We had stay here once before in the winter with our dog for the week and loved it so much we decided to come back for the summer with our family. The house itself is great and the location is perfect, kind of central to everything in our opinion and the backyard was perfect for our two dogs as well. We really enjoyed the privacy as well. We will be back!

The his was such a great stay. The cabin was exactly as described and in a wonderful location. Molly was great with communication and we had a great stay.

This little treasure of a cabin was worth every penny. The management staff was very responsive. I needed a replacement coffee maker, which was delivered promptly the following morning. The kitchen was well-equipped. I loved the fireplace and appreciated that the descriptions noted I should bring my own firewood. The hot tub was a treat, and the backyard and front yard were so convenient for letting the pooches out. The master bedroom has a comfy king bed and plenty of space. Would highly recommend this sweet cabin for your visit.

Great little home near the town slopes big bear. Kids loved it. They called it the little red house. 

Cabin looks really nice cosmetically but functionally it is in a state of neglect. Many appliances/amenities in disrepair. Cleanliness issues as well. Avoid disappointment and find a host with less properties to manage or stay at a local lodge/hotel. Here is a list of the main issues: -Hot tub was broken and nobody came out to fix it. Unusable for the entire stay. -Hosts were communicative and replied around checkin. Then stopped replying that night until the morning of checkout -Cabin is always cold downstairs especially the bedroom with bunk beds. Main wall heater only heats the corner of the living room. Granted it was winter but with smart thermostat and new heat pumps you would think it would warm up -Stove igniter is broken and no lighters or matches in the cabin. Bring a lighter if you want to cook -Backyard does have 6 foot fence as advertised but there is a short 3 foot gate leading to the street -Upstairs master bathroom ceiling was dirty with what looked like mold

Location is super amazing and convenient. About 5-10 min from most big bear attractions. The cleaning fee and overall cost was way too expensive for the condition of the home. The home itself did not feel like a home away from home. The dishwasher was detached from the wall so we did not feel comfortable using it, the stove was not working properly, one of the rooms was initially super cold with no extra blankets around the home, and the lower bathroom looks like it could use a deep cleaning. The bunk bed room also had a lingering animal pee smell closer to the patio door. For safety, I’d also recommend a more secure entrance/pathway to the home during winter months. We had to skip among the bricks to avoid falling. Molly and her team were super responsive and available, great communication overall but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Great cabin! We didn't get to stay long but we enjoyed the area and all it had to offer! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Great house, close to the main streets of Big Bear Lake, but quiet! We enjoyed the cozy living room and fireplace, and there's a nice selection of games and books. The kitchen had all the right utensils and appliances and we were happy whether we were cooking or storing leftovers in the big, clean fridge. The hot tub was relaxing and comfortable. We loved the "cabin" feel of the house, and the upstairs bathroom was very nice. We didn't use the firepit because it was still a bit snowy and wet out back, but it's a nice amenity! The kids loved playing in the yard and on the deck, and loved the bunk beds as well. Molly was very friendly and responsive, and helpful when we had questions. It was a great first trip to Big Bear!

We paid for 3 nights and stayed two. The house needed a lot of maintenance and repairs. It appears the many past guests got charged for broken things and the money was just pocketed, never fixing the damages. Stained (very large) living room carpet. Dog hair (husky) all over house. Heater couldn’t keep the house cold, needed to spend $100 In blankets. These hosts are only motivated by money and do not understanding of people’s needs. Husband and wife are driven by money. After explaining to the wife of my Covid diagnosis 3 days prior to checking in and wanted to compromise on modifying my reservation, it was a solid no. They pulled up the Airbnb policy and pointed out all the fine prints, sticking extremely firm to it. Not a care in the world that I had 104 fever and in no position to drive. We will never book with them ever again and we will notify our family/friends who frequent big for their vacations of our experience. Bottom line….. trip from hell.

Our furry friends and us loved our stay and would recommend to any dog friendly travelers. Stay warm out there!

Molly’s place was clean and close to everything. Like most of the property, it seems like it is managed by the property mgmt company, the communication was not instant but still worked out fine.

A wonderful place only a couple minutes away from the lake and the Village. The highlight of the home was of course the hot tub and secluded back yard space. The only negative I have to mention is the amount of dog hair that lined all the furniture including the top bedding. It was enough that we didn’t sit on anything without covering it with a clean sheet. I do realize this is a dog friendly home so I’m not going to be too harsh about it but maybe the cleaning crew can do a better job in vacuuming up the hair.

This was such a nice stay. The house was adorable and clean. The location was the best! So close to the cute town. Hot tub was such a nice treat. The kitchen had brand new appliances so it was nice for cooking. Very cozy couch with a nice fireplace. Would definitely stay again. Host was nice, we didn't talk much but didn't need to.

Such a great cabin! Close to a lot of restaurants and walking distance to many places. The village is a short drive and you can also walk there. The bed was very comfortable. Also loved the shower and bathtub. We had a nice time during our weekend getaway.

We originally had another house rented and when problems occurred, we found this gem! It was last minute and they made sure we were inside the home within 30 minutes. We were very thankful! We had a wonderful stay. Our hosts made us feel right at home. The house was just as described. My children and niece loved the hot tub. The house was perfect. We definitely will stay again! We loved the fenced yard for our 10 month old pup (he’s already 60lbs) and the two kids to play in. The neighbors are super nice and helpful. The location is great- 5 minutes to everything by car or could walk even to the Village.

This place was cute as a button! We loved the fenced in yards for the dogs. The air conditioner upstairs leaked and Molly was super quick to respond and sent someone to fix it within a few hours. The home was clean, peaceful and super cozy!!

The home is super cute and felt homey. The backyard is huge with a nice wood patio and trees all around you so we felt we had privacy. The jacuzzi was used each night but half the jets didn’t work. The fire pit was great too for s’mores. The rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were clean and had all amenities you needed. The location was great. Super quiet and easy to get to all of the activities. The check-in process was very quick and easy to find the place you had to go to first. Same with taking the trash out, it was not a big deal at all.

Felt right at home at the beautiful cozy house. Loved the new large deck and the hot tub was very clean and hot! We really did loved our stay and will definitely stay here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay! We have three kids and they loved the bunk beds. The bedrooms were very large and comfortable beds. The hot tub was a great plus. I walked to Snow Summit several times while we were there- I wouldn’t make the walk with gear but it was very easy and convenient to meet my family there. We had only one issue with the home- the snow is melting rapidly and it created almost a river that came down the street and collected several inches of water and mud along the whole entryway. I contacted the property manager and they promptly sent someone out to put sandbags to divert the water which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this home.

The house is sweet and cozy - as described. Everything one could need for a ski vacation. Fireplace was especially great - as was the hot tub after a day’s skiing!

This was a great pet-friendly, family friendly place. It definitely had a feel of being used well during the snow season (some cabinet hinges loose, glasses cracked, etc.) but it was perfect for a short retreat. We loved the location at the end of a tucked away cul de sac and large backyard. Beds and pillows were comfy, heater worked well, and amenities were available. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time! Our host was super helpful in every way. The cabin was clean and spacious, very near to restaurants, stores, and very fun activities. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.

This was the best place I’ve stayed in. Had all the amenities we were looking for, full kitchen, bathrooms had tp, lots of towels. Hot tub was so relaxing after a ski day. Kitchen has salt, pepper, seasonings, etc. the only thing needed was laundry detergent. Heat works great, and they had a space heater to bring into what ever room we were in. A second one would be useful but I went with just one other person so we only stayed in one room. Hot water in the showers didn’t run out mid shower, always a fear of mine in cabins. Overall for the price this place was excellent. Location is great, and the driveway has space for two cars. I can’t wait to come back!

Chez Caboose is a decent cabin for a quick Big Bear getaway. Clean and close to Snow Summit. Has a jacuzzi, laundry, comfy beds and all the essentials.

Overall, the stay was great. Cute, clean place and spacious. Had board games available to play and great kitchen setup with working oven, utensils, plates, pots/pans, etc. We couldn’t find the light switch for some of the lights… we could not turn off the inside entry light (which could be seen from downstairs bedroom) or turn on the downstairs living room lights. The downstairs bedroom’s thermostat had fallen behind the dresser and we didn’t find it until the second night. It was about 25 degrees this weekend so the first night was spent really cold. Also, the front door must be locked when you leave by pressing the keypad. It does not lock automatically.

Our stay at Chez Caboose was wonderful. The place felt very homey and spacious for our family of 3. There was plenty of space to kick back and relax. There was so much snow in the front and back yards that our toddler has a blast playing in the snow. The hot tub was a great addition to soak after a long day playing in the snow. All necessary amenities were available to make our stay comfortable and the location was close to Big Bear Lake, Snow Summit, Big Bear Snow Play, restaurants, and markets. I would definitely recommend this house and would book again if available.

Everything was great! A little pricey, but not out of the ordinary for Big Bear! It was nice having a place to ourselves and great for the kids. We would definitely do this again! Love the back yard, would be great for another time of year when it wasn’t rainy snow.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The location is great, close to both the mountain and the village! The fireplace was key for a cozy night in and the fenced in front yard and backyard were awesome for our dog to run around safely. Molly and Seth were awesome at responding to us when we had a question as well. The jacuzzi was clean and great after a day of snowboarding. We will definitely be back to stay soon!

Our stay here was wonderful! We feel like we got a steal for the price and location! We went right after a snow storm, and arrived to a winter wonderland. We were greeted with the cutest little welcome bag, with a bottle of wine, water bottles, and some snacks. Check in was easy and quick, and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early at 12, with no wait at all. The home was just as described but even better with snow all around. We brought our dogs and they loved being able to run around the home, with it being fenced in and safe to do so. Our kids very much enjoyed the bunk beds and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi- which was so easy to use and quick to heat! The amenities included everything we needed. Heaters in every room kept us warm and cozy. Best part, location! So close to everything! If it wasn’t so cold, we could have walked everywhere! The hosts were super quick and responsive to any questions and it was overall a wonderful stay! We hope to come again!

The home was as described. We had a great time and really enjoyed the hot tub! When we initially got there there was some sand in the hot tub but they were quick to respond and got it cleaned up while we were out hiking. We were able to enjoy it the second night without any issues. Would love to return again!

Overall enjoyed the trip, but personally would not be staying here again. The AC wasn’t working, but it wasn’t too hot while we were in town so it was bearable. We found mouse traps by the bunk beds, which I discovered because my phone charger fell to the side of the bed and when I pulled it up I found a sticky mouse trap stuck to the end of it which had a drawer knob and cookie attached to it. I would have like to have known there were mice in the house before booking.. I understand we’re in the woods, but transparency is key. Also replacing the mouse traps more often would be nice.. like why was there a cookie and random knob attached to it? Grosses me out to wonder how long those traps have been there. Clearly they’re not working. Also my charger was ruined so will need to get a new one. The bunk beds are very shaky and feel very unstable and make a TON of noise. Did not sleep well. Also the check out process was VERY stressful. There is a long list of things you have to clean otherwise you will be charged extra fees on top of an already expensive cleaning fee. The worst cleaning instruction was to dump our own trash? I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s and never had to do that before. There were two drop off sites, but just annoying to have to put a bunch of trash bags in your car and then go dump them after spending the entire morning cleaning as to avoid extra charges. Anyways the line of cars to drop off the trash was VERY long we ended up parking and just walking about 10 minutes there and back (with trash bags in hand) to throw them away. That was absolutely ridiculous. If I had known this would have been the case I would’ve stayed somewhere else. Again, the overall stay was fine, but would not be coming back and would not recommend.

This is a great property to base your Big Bear adventures from. There’s a gated yard where you can store your toys (we visited in Summer, which is Big Bear’s off-season, but that makes the slopes and trails perfect for two-wheeled adventures!), and the living room couch is *SUPER* comfy! Everything was clean and tidy.

Molly Mei and her husband were great communicators. There were some pests in the home we got to, so they relocated us to their other, nicer home without increasing the cost. Would recommend them as hosts!

The cabin was in a nice location and made getting to the village and also other activities up in the area very easy. The place was nice and clean and had plenty of dishware and such that made it easy to stay there.

Molly and Seth were extremely accommodating in terms of the check in process. The location was amazing and close to the village! The house is perfect for long stays! However, be aware of a rat problem. Unfortunately we tried to communicate this problem with our hosts, in which they proceeded to stop all communication and responses after we addressed the issue. Everything was great until this problem occurred. Other than that, I appreciated this stay.

Very cute cottage close to snow summit. Trail starts a little up the hill. The office to check in was very easy to find and very friendly service. i recommend this place for families, or a group of friends.

Molly and her husband are wonderful hosts! We had such a great time! This was the perfect getaway for our family; the place has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Our kids especially enjoyed the bunk beds, the games, and the hot tub. Location is very convenient - you can easily get to Big Bear Mountain or Snow Summit in a matter of minutes and it's in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Thank you very much! We look forward to visiting again soon!

Really cute and cozy place centrally located to the slopes, stores, restaurants, grocery, etc. we had a great time. Perfect size for a family of 4-6. Very clean and an easy check in process. Strong recommend.

Great place, walked to Snow Summit more than once for activities and had a great hot tub and fireplace. Loved the atmosphere and neighborhood. Very accurate description, great location, and great communication. I would go back!

Absolutely loved this house, super clean and tidy upon arrival. Big backyard with the jacuzzi was amazing and everything inside looked almost brand new. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Very close to ski resort which was convenient as well.

The Chez Caboose was awesome! The kids loved the big room with bunk beds and loved being able to run in the back yard! Great little kitchen and awesome upstairs shower! Such a great place to come home to after a day out in big bear!

Cool little place. Hot tub has no privacy. fyi. It was a family trip for me, so not too big of a deal. Clean.

The location was in a great area the only issues I had is the house was mainly cleanliness office staff were extremely nice and great with communication. The house had Alot of spiders we found over (10) one including a larger spider possibly a brown recluse which was a huge issue as I have a curious 2 year old I couldn't let her walk around freely due to this issues, there was clothes left from a previous stayer left inside the cabinet upstairs in the bath room which to me shows a simple pick up wasn't done also there were multiple dirty dishes put away in the cabinet. Other then my major issues the house was great

Cheze Caboose was a wonderful rental in a safe & friendly neighborhood. We would recommend this for anyone with or without children since it’s got an enclosed yard it offers added protection for peace of mind while outside playing.
